With any "mail order" tune people have to expect problems. The only way to properly tune a vehicle is with a Tuner on a Dyno. Different cities have different air density and crap like closer to sea level and stuff. Ive seen some complaints on FF/FJ and some people just shouldn't be driving boosted cars because they don't know how anything works.
and wow Welcome back Tom I didn't even know you were a member up here.
Yeah I hear ya, I'm guessing it's not as big of a deal for N/A tunes. But either way Tom's been looking at my logs and making revisions as needed which is pretty cool. I heard Steeda charges an arm and a leg for dyno tuning. They actually quoted me at 375 for a FRPP suspension kit install which is ludicrous! I said so 5 hours of work, and they said yup. I'm guessing it's a standard rate or something.
Another shop quoted me at 150, which sounds way more reasonable. I might just end up doing it myself, just need a spring compressor I guess.
Going rate for suspension install is around $180- $200 bucks so beware of the cheap guy that might be doing it out of his garage.
It's at a professional shop. I've been there before and they do good work. I like Steeda and wanted to support them so that's why I inquired there first, but $375 is a little greedy.
I think I paid $100 or $150 to have my Eibach springs installed but that didn't include an alignment. I went to Birchmount Spring in Scarborough.
That was just for springs? And not shocks/struts also?
I thought an alignment was critical? lol

Yeah, springs only. Alignment at the time of install is critical unless you like buying tires. LOL
Oh, I see misunderstood your post.. I thought you didn't get an alignment, but what you meant was that was the price without the alignment. LOL
How much was the alignment anyways?
Uh yeah, I didn't get an alignment. A week later I got new tires. When I did get it done I think I paid Canadian Tire $60 for the alignment.
