This is a stock deck, if i cant why is it there and what is it used for?
well my stock deck didnt have that but maybe there are a few different stock units,.,
yeah I am sure the upgraded stock units would have an AUX in for an ipod or what have you.If you have the button then chances are you'll have that extra input
It's probaly for the optional aux input for iPod's, i'm pretty sure Ford sells them.

so then it might be a funky connector?
The AUX button on the 2005+ 6disc Audiophiles is used in some (other) Ford vehicles to control Rear Seat DVD systems. A company is working to make an adapter to interface with the system to use the iPods.

I'm waiting for it too.
We should inquire about a group buy.
yes, even the 99-04 focus factory deck with in-dash cd changer has this connector on the back for "optional" cd changer, and it CAN EASILY be converted into an aux port. btw. this should be moved into the ICE/Car Audio lounge for better viewing.

This is the 6-disc MP3 player.
