Have you tried the updated flash from Ford or an aftermarket tune?

If you want something slightly older, like my never-ending admiration for the Skyline R32 GTS-4 and GT-R... check that out.
Whoops. Says they're in transition, which I hope means they're coming back.

I noticed this in the Saturday Toronto Star Jan 28 by Lawrence Yap. There is a place in TO that imports 15 year old Skyline R32's. Something like $17000 with about 140,000km. Very nice cars B)

Since I have been paying attention, I have seen 3 Skylines here in Calgary-I couldn't get used to the RHD.
The s4 is nice, but eats more gas then a Hummer when the pedel is pushed to the floor.
haha. This topic can/should be closed.
I'm 99% sure i'll be driving a maxima within a week.

2002-2003 Cadillac CTS 5spd
Import a 2002-2003 Subaru WRX from the US (much cheaper than canadian prices)
Thanks

those are the 3 cars I would consider from your list. S4 well it's AWD BiTurbo a few tweaks and you're reaching 350hp and it's a solid built car you can get them with HIDs.
the caddy, I am not a big fan of caddies but this one is sure nice and from what I hear not that bad for repairs like the catera was, HIDs found on this car too.
WRX much for the same reason I said for the S4. AWD Turbo fun. Not sure about the US model if they had HIDs I don't think so that was a feature saved for the STi
If my 2cents means anything go for the S4 I drove one and I could retract my massive erection for a day or so.
the s4 used to me my first choice until i researched the ridiculous maintenence and repair costs.
totally not worth it.

Same with the M3 M5 and any other big ticket car. It comes with the territory. You gotta look at how often they break and cost per repair.

Yup, thats why i had to settle for a japanese family sedan...
Someone tell the N/A automakers to make a 6spd v6 sedan... and i'll buy
Hopefully some 19's will be oging on that bad boy!

man, if you were going to spend all that money on an S4 or bimmer, why not save up and get a mazdaspeed 6?
275HP, 280lb of torque, AWD, in a body that looks a helluva lot better than the maxima IMO.
Mazdaspeed 6... not a bad car. Needs more snail, tho.

the snail it has would probably be better off with an intercooler NOT mounted on top of the engine underneath a sealed hood.
As it is I think it makes double-digit boost at 2000 RPM, you just gotta make it more efficient.. exhaust, better intercooler.. I bet it would kick more ass quite easily. Maybe not european evo territory, but definitely STi territory.
I wonder how much it weighs? I think the biggest complaint would be that it's a FWD car first, and AWD car secondly.
Ahh... the preview review I read said it felt like it ran out of steam almost 10000 RPM before redline... which, in a large 4 cylinder can't be a good thing.
It's also fairly portly (> 3400 lbs) and AWD-but-not-quite. That can't be an ideal setup.
I'd probably have one if i went new...
this time i went the more cost effective route... Picked up a 3 year old car... low km.. and tons of warranty left.
after i'm done school. i'll buy something better.

Have you seen the Fusion? We did put a 6 speed/6 cylinder in it if I am not mistaken?
Yea the Fusion is a nice car, my cousin just bought one :) I like the dual exhaust on that car, suites it well actually. And by the way, a year ago there was an Lancer Evolution 8 parked inside Mitsubishi Autopark on the service road by the QEW here in Burlington. Price tag was a large $45,000 and the car had 30,000 MILES on it, not Km's. May be illegal but how the hell did they get one?
