For that price they should include a belt
12-10-2005, 02:40 AM
Wow, do the quotes ever vary for the same damn belt!
Odrowski Automotive - $44!
Autoparts Extra - $37.96.
Canadian Tire - $30.72.
Guess who I'm using?
For 2001 SPIs with A/C, the Dayco US part number is 495K6 and the Canadian part number is 5060495.
If you're ordering from Crappy, just give them the Dayco US number. For some reason the Canadian number doesn't work

Quote:Good for 10-12 horsepower and up to a 15% mileage increase.
A tad optimistic me thinks....I'm sure you will notice better throttle response however.

I'm hoping for a spring / early summer dyno day so I can see what I am really putting down to the pavement.

Well, i'm very shocked and insulted that someone decided not to tell me about this purchase and the go-ahead like we discussed many times before.
Also someone didn't ask me to see if i could procure the belt for them and get Jobber pricing.
Ugh... sometimes i wonder...

If you had been reading the boards, you would have known what was going on. There is no GB price with these guys.
I've also done all your legwork so you know what part to get the "jobber" price on.
Dude, you're my friend but I don't need to run every purchase by you.

Get a room!
as far as the dyno numbers go .. did you get a stock dyno done so you have #'s to compare your new numbers with?

I'm going to make 3 G-Tech passes, average the number, and then make 3 passes with the pulley bolted on, average the number.
That's a jumping off point to see what I've gained, basically.

It shipped out via UPS yesterday. I don't expect it will cost much for the duties.

car parts don't get duty, only taxes if it's over a certain value. Yes I asked fedex when I was picking up my HID lights I paid tax on them cause the guy shipped them with the value of $800usd which is what they were worth
:(

Good to know nass, cause I was gonna say...
When I ordered about $65 USD' worth of wedding supplies earlier this year (mind you it shipped USPS and not UPS), I didn't pay squat. It arrived at the office and that was that.
If we're talking total value before taxes and shipping, that's $109 USD.
Maybe I'll go have another poke at the UPS site and see what I can dig up, seeing as I'm stuck at the office... on unfiltered 115v AC. Ick.

Car parts will get duty, theyre nto suppose to, but they dont care. I've paid duty on tons of my turbo stuff. ESCPECIALLY with UPS.
UPS=The devil.

IF they're declared as parts?
I have no idea what was done.
Should I use EF.com in the future, I'll request USPS. By the time I had asked for an order confirmation... it was already on the truck.

i always get charged duty on my car parts .. usually its just an invoice they send you with your item .. usually you don't have to pay upfront
