On occasion, when I stop a local appserver, a few ports get stuck open.. so I thought I'd check my netstat to see if they were open..

and in the list popped up an unusual suspect..


where did that come from?

nslookup / tracert says?

Judging by the dynamic port number on your end... it was a client-side communication attempt. Hello Ad Aware! :D

nah, it was a piece of adware...

word of caution, don't run those 'desktop buddy's .... they're not so friendly

i should wash my hands after talking to certain people on MSN it seems.
