basically, you need to convert your oem ford factory harness into a blaupukt or volkswagen 2000 harness.. they say it creates more heat than the old radio and can overheat or some s**t like that but I personally helped a friend install one and never noticed any overheating problems 1.5 years later... go for it if the price is right.
i wouldn't buy it for that price. i've been looking for this deck for awhile now, actually i just lost an auction for one, the winning bid was $150 USD. watch out who you buy from, as some of them use UPS and they will rape you on brokerage and duty charges. i wouldn't pay more than $150 USD for one. ebay also has the harness so its just a plug and play, they usually go for about $30 USD.

I have a 2005 6disc Mp3 player deck from ford.
I really want one of the Blaupunkt mp3 players too.. only I dont really want to spend that much money on it.
Was the Blau unit ever available in Canada as an option? If so, I might make some calls.
Also, will the stock 2005 MP3 units work in earlier year cars?
