no offense, but why are you puttign so much effort into this? yes it is a functional mod, but it has no function on your car. unless you have a fuel controller or a chip to control everythign you are wasting time and money on this. and what is the purpose of having it show somethign that is not even happening?? that defeats the purpose of the gauge completely. if you want i can wire up some LEDs that can alternate and you could mount it in the gauge pod. same effect, 1/10 the cost :)

You may as well hit an airplane salvage company and put an altimeter and a turn coordinator in your car.

#1 you are an idiot.

The air fuel gauge is doing what it's intended to do. It Idle usually when the car is warmed up it will go from lean-rich-lean-rich-lean-rich etc. when you are at wide open throttle it will be full rich, when you let off the gas it goes to full lean for a bit until it goes back to lean-rich-lean-rich etc.

and while you are just cruising normally it goes lean-rich-lean-rich etc.

THAT IS WHAT THE ENGINE DOES, AND THE GAUGE IS DISPLAYING THIS

Now there are gauges that don't oscilate like this one back and forth, but it's pretty worthless as well.

Even for a turbo I wouldn't trust it to protect my motor.

Bottom line, you put in the rice gauge, and it's working perfectly, what the hell else do you want?
hehehehe.........what he said

hahahaahha, that would be awsome, see how much air ya get when jumping the tracks, dukes style
ya ya - forget i metioned it - we will live with it or change it out later
just so everyone knows - box was developed by my dad we have called it the (turtle box) and it dumb out the spazzyness of the gauge and now it works exactly how it was designed to and is very accurate - i am now going to post this box for all other users at $50.00 -

because everyone said it couldnt be done - !! ha ha

it was working the way its suppose to when you 1st installe dit, now your delaying the signal, which is NOT good with an AF guage.

Your absolutely right but in this case it is about pretty lights and that is alll that matters. I mean really Flo what were you thinking, using a gauge to monitor or diagnose something? What up with that?
^^

Nobody said it couldn't be done.

What we said is "what's the point?". You've made a useless gauge even more useless, because it's not even as accurate as it inaccurately was to begin with. . Congrats. I'll call you when I want to design a screen door for a submarine.
do you have a video of how it looks??

and then flo could you post a vid of how it shuold work??

It works exactly how jays2000zx3 described it.

I can take a video, but its going to be s**t quality!

o i know how it should work
s**t quality or not, at least we know its working right! lol
I could video great quality with mine but then that would mean I beat puppet to the install. How long you had that guage? A year. Geez.
ya ya whatever - it works for i want it for - so thats that

- what ohter gauges are most popular with everyone? -
Voltage, oil preasure, 2" tachs (only if you were lucky like me and didn't get a stock tach in your car).
As for teh A/F meter. I installed one in my transam however I did the wide band O2 Sensor conversion. People say that its a useless mod on a N/A car however it was recomended to install one as I do my own chip burning for the car and its always nice to keep an eye on the A/F mixture to make sure that the engine doesn't lean out. A lean engine = a dead engine.
