For once, a good Stanley Cup final. So, who's gonna raise the Cup?
i'm thinking Detroit, although I'm getting tired of the groupies here who like to announce the Red Wings victories. Never mind that last comment, I'm just jealous. GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P
yeah im with you, go PENS!!
Detois.
isn't it summer time?

Even the leafs get it -- they're out golfing.
Strickly on a home ice advantage I would say Detroit but would love to see the Pens take the win.
Whoever is got more Russian players that's the team im cheering for.
Who really cares? I don't.
Detroit!

For some unknown reason I just don't want the Pens to win it.
It's been a homer series so far so logic would say Detroit. But then again game sevens aren't always logical :P

NefCanuck
I'm pulling for Pittsburg because that's where my money lies. :P

s***, I'm back on the ice in 3 weeks. I'd better get downstairs to that treadmill :)
I'm going for Pittsburgh, just to screw over Hossa... :D

I dont really like him either, but he is one of the best players in the world and would be a shame if he never won a cup.
Sid the kid is the best canadian player and people are hatin on him! he's the man, carrying that team along with a few other players on the team (malkin is one) lets hope the pens can bring home the cup!

3 points in 6 games in this series, 1 goal 2 assists.

If he was "carrying the team" he would have dropped them by now. Please don't do crack, it's bad for you.

Carry, i mean throughout the year. look where they are, obvi zetterberg has been doing a great job with sid the kid. But dont get into a debate about sid the kid, not only is he going to lead the team but he is going to give you a 100 point season every year as long as he is healthy!
Well see how much everyone loves him when it has to do with bringing home a gold medal in 2010 vancouver
ohh by the way!
Pittsburgh Penguins' franchise record for assists in a season by a rookie (63)
Pittsburgh Penguins' franchise record for points in a season by a rookie (102)
First rookie to record 100 points and 100 penalty minutes in a season

Youngest player in NHL history to win the Lester B. Pearson Award
Youngest player in NHL history to be named to the First All-Star Team

BOOOTYAAAAA!!!
You forgot youngest captain to choke two consecutive years in the Stanley Cup Final against the same team. ;)

I guess there's some things that only experience can teach you. Plus, Game 7 isn't done yet. ;) So, your statement is only partially true :P Yes, I know you were making a "prediction".

Another way of viewing it is "The youngest captain to lead his team to 2 consecutive Stanley Cup Finals showings." :D

Love him or hate him, Sid is the most "Gretzky-like" player in his mannerisms, his calibre of play and his overall potential since a young Wayne laced them up about 30 years ago now. In fact, Wayne's first full season was '79 - '80. Wayne may be the high watermark for excellence, but Sid will be the one new players will attempt to keep up with over the next 5-6 years at least.
I wouldn't say hes choking hes just getting covered very well by Detroit.
