Shareaza
bit torrent, irc, bearshare, limewire..
bearshare is some good s**t...easy to use, updated often, and I've rarely not been able to locate files using it!!! almost 95% accuracy!
NAPSTER.COM, ITUNES.COM, CONNECT.CA
NAPSTER.com - I won a contest over the net and got like $5,000 in free downloads from them lol.
Limewire.com - I found it better than Kazaa lite
Kazaa - lite sucks

From what I understand, in Canada it's legal to download copyrighted music but it's illegal to upload copyrighted music. Some stupid technicality or whatever you want to call it..
It's illegal to reproduce copyrighted music for the purpose of distribution, however it is legal to make a copy of music and then have that copy available for others to hear. That's how we operate at radio stations. All the CD's I get in are filed into the computer, and converted to MP3's, which people then play. It's not illegal for us to make our own copy or to play it over the radio, only to give away those copies...
I use Ares as well
