How to you install side skirt? Do you put 2 way tape or uretane? What did you guys use?
I've heard the adhesive for windshields works well. Two sided tape usually fails in the long run.
windshield adhesive is what we always use and it works better than anything we have found yet. most quality body shops that do a lot of work with aftermarket body kits will say and use the same thing.
if you are going to do it yourself, get the helping hand of a good friend because that stuff can murder your paint if you mess up and get it where it shouldn't be!
if you do get it where it shouldn't be, i have found Gasoline takes it of fairly well but you need to wash the car instantly to get the gas off before it hurts your paint and so the glue will bond! ;)
Would 3m 2-way tape work for sticking does skirts?
it does but it doesn't work for long.
bump the skirts or drag your foot getting out and you can pull the skirt away from the body.
Especially in the cold, if you get extreme cold weather the tape wont hold very well.
where do u get this adhesive?
anywhere that does auto-glass repair should carry it.
