I'm toying with the idea on doing the conversion, but I can't remember who sells the parts for this. I think you can get them through ford, but who else is there out there that supplies these parts?.

The focus is just sitting in my garage right now not being driven, therefore before I sell it I am considering what my options may be. (and turbo, supercharger, nos are not on the books for me, I'll just buy a honda to do that to)
Kugel

V-8 Focus

That should do the trick
Thanks my man :D
don't forget you can go this route to

Build an RS8
I didnt realize before the cross member/engine cradle were boltin .... Thats interesting in itself ... Personally Id weld them right onto the car, since if i were doing this, I wouldnt ever uninstall it... :)
Yeah the whole kit is suppose to be bolt in, but welding certain parts in is the best bet in my opinion. Bringing the car over this weekend to the new place to inspect everything to see if she is worthy of this.

That's insane, I also didn't know it was that "cheap" to get the kit. like 2k US for the parts for the kit then just an engine, tranny, rear end and drive shaft. :o

That's facking SICK!!
I wonder how much it is to get a 03 cobra motor :D

You'll need more than that, don't forget suspension and brakes, 5 lug wheels, etc...
I'll let you know some of the costs once I start pricing out the bigger parts.

Don't worry I have lots of big trees to jump from, as well as my roof its only a bungalow though might be too low. You could get a nice routine going since the lot is 250ft deep.

Doner car!!!!!!!!!!!
There are plenety of old 5.0L laying around.
any where from $1500- infinfty you name it.
You would have the full drive line.
With the price of gas people will be either shoving them in a garage or selling them fast.
302 block parts are cheaper
PS Message me about kits...
I have some news you might be interested in....
post your info, i'd like to hear it aswell

personally i don't think i'd put a fuel injected motor back in. It would be abit cheaper if you were to pick up an older chevy or gm motor and rebuild it, than it would be to buy a new or slightly used cobra motor.

But I did document it in my Test and tune book.
Best runs
11.564 no NOS on a 10" M/T Slick
10.71 with a 75 HP shot.
Traction was a real problem
We named the car smoker

Not sure we will build another one. Right now we are working on a 67 fastback (Eleanor look a like)
Start looking for an insurance comp that will take the v8 focus, most places I called didn't want to touch it. The only place that wanted my business wanted $3.500 a year (I'm 31) so I didn't do it...
