i currently have h3 6000k in my ebay projector..
but thinking of doing retrofit using lexus rx projector and it is usin d2s..
i can keep ballast but need to get amp to d2s harness and d2s bulbs..
i wanna try something different this time..
would i get into trouble running 3000k~3500k yellow hid bulbs??

thats JDM, see a bunch of civic around my area with that setup so im sure its okay, but personally i think it looks stupid :lol:
I like the yellow lights. They do look a little odd, but not stupid blue headlights.
Yellow to me is for Fog lights only.
The white is too bright and ppl think you have your highbeams on.

The only thing that bugs me more then blue headlights is when people put HID's in standard headlight housings. Nothing kills your night vision like someone driving at you with perma highbeams.

guys, i m not looking to buy hid conversion kit
i already have one and it is in ebay PROJECTOR, not dumb reflect factory housing..
you feel it is too bright because you are putting in reflect factory housing and didn't adjust level..
i m looking to do "RETROFIT" from "EBAY CRAPPY PROJECTORS" TO "LEXUS PROJECTORS"..
My question was about color if yellow is illegal or not..
i guess i m gonna keep 6000k white or 5000k oem white..

yes, its illegal to have yellow lights, but i have seen couple around so i dont think cops will give you trouble for that alone, now if someone is driving like an idiot and then gets pulled over, they might get a ticket for those as well.
