alright i was just brainstoming and i thought it would look good if a 2000 zx3 focus had a 05 st front and rear bumper with RS side skits. anyone have any pics?
Would an 05 front end work? I don't think so. If it's anything like the Euro 05 front end, it has a little lip that moulds into the headlight... and being that the 05 headlights are shaped differently than the 98-04...

K here we go... [Image: usa_2005_ford_focus_sdn_4_x_exfrdrvr75_x.jpg]

Definately a different shape.. wouldn't fit without serious modification...
how much would you think it would be to modify the front
Way too much realistically. If it's that kinda look you're going for you'd be just as well to get an 03-04 Euro bumper... looks somewhat similar and would be a bolt on (might need to trim your rebar a tad, but tonnes of people on here have done it.)

I don't think the sedan rear bumper fit the hatchback.

To change to 05 front end...Headlight, upper & lower grill, fenders, bumper, fogs and hood are needed...too much $$$$!! B)
Sedan rear is different that the ZX3 no???
Yes sir...

Wagons, Sedans and Hatchbacks all have different rear bumpers
Okay...i've had both..pre 2005 sedans...and 2005 hatchback

The sedan rear, in general, is significantly long then the hatch rear...so it wouldnt fit!

The 2005 front end, fog lights, rear end, fenders, hood, headlights lights, taillights and grilles are completely different. I mean anything is possible but, this would be too much of an undertaking to be worth-while...

The 05' sedan rear as well as not fitting 00-04 has a different shaped trunk lid, taillights and the exhaust runs out differently...

Only the 2005 hatchback can accomodate pre-05 rear treatments...but the front is the same as the sedan, totally different from 00-04

for the 2002 - 2004 European Facelift model, there is no rebar trimming, it just fits right on the front like in my old photos, but you'll need to get the following items.

1. Facelift bumper with the rub accents ( ST170 uses the same bumper )
2. lower 2002 grille
3. upper 2002 grille
4. 2002 facelift Foglights
5. 2002 headlights
6. side repeaters ( to move the bumper lights )

You know I think this is only true if you have a 2001 or newer Focus.. I think the size of the rebar changed from 00 - 01... at least that's what Paolo told me once.
actually it is entirely dependant on the car.
some 01+ cars require trimming while others do not.
not every car is exactly the same from the factory so it is hit and miss, pretty much all 00 cars you have to trim a fair amount off to make them work.

as for the 98-04 to 05+ US spec conversion, it's just a matter or replacing the panels. hood, fenders, bumpers and lights and possibly the upper rad support. aside from those bits, the 98-04 and 05+ Focus is basicly the same car, just face lifted.

the rears are going to be tricky as previously stated, the sedan rear is different.
both the wagon and hatch rears remain unchanged from the face lift and the side skirts should also be cross over.

a 05+ euro conversion will probably not work at all as the euro 05+ is closer to the Mazda3 and Volvo S40 than the focus we have over here!

oh and the hatch, wagon and sedan all have different rears.
all of which are available for the 98-04 models from europe.
i have a wagon rear in stock but the sedan stuff just doesn't sell so it's a pre-order only thing! ;)
