I was contemplating buying a strut tower brace, even if it doesn't do a whole lot...the only thing is, I know a lot of them are designed to fit underhood with the factory air intake...I'm thinking that it should fit with an AEM CAI...shouldn't it?
Which strut brace are you looking at getting? They are all slightly different so some would fit, some won't.......
Let me tell you this much...

SPI engine + Steeda High Flow Intake + Steeda strut tower bar + BDR 60mm TB = rubbage.

We had to "chop" the intake and associated hardware to give some clearance. I will post pics of the setup.
Well, I wonder if the FC or FS one will fit...I know the one from Neuspeed likely wouldn't...
I think the Steeda = FC but repackaged.
He has the Zetec, not sure how much that influences things.

It really depends if the bar keeps close to the firewall, or swings out over the engine itself. The more it clears the throttle body, the better (when looking from the top down).
you'd see better feedback from the rear brace than you would from the front. If your nice enough you could ask mitch to find his write up he did on this whole topic about a year ago. Very good info
it fits when i design a intake for you!!

p.m. i have a brace and my own intake and its fits fine!!
Just hack the s**t out of your hood a promote rust like Mason did!

I have a Focus sport bar and no problem with a AEM CAI and now, with A Focus Sport Cool-Flo.

This setup work well in a SPI and a Zetec....

Sorry for the dirty engine bay, it's a last winter pics....
