Okay, so the drive is now in my computer and is being recognised by windows, however it is inaccesible and when I attempt to open it in either dos or windows it gives me a message saying incorrect function. Have tried accessing it from every possible angle, but it won't open. Any tips, or advice? This is getting on my nerves

goto my computer, right click that drive, goto properties, tools tab, error checking, check both boxes. try that first.
if that doesn't work goto a dos window and type chkdsk d: /f This assumes the other HD is set to D: change that to what it really is.
