A friend of mine got a job at the parts counter at Ford, and can get parts at great prices, so I thought I'd pass the savings on to you guys.

I know this will be asked eleventy billion times, so here it is:

DPFE SENSOR, (I asked about a 2000 SPI 5spd, but i think they're all the same):

43.30$ CAD

PM me if you need something, I'll get some prices. I can probably ship it for ya, but only if I get enough orders, I don't want to bother going down to the post office to ship something tiny.
I think you mean DPFE

1. They are not all the same, they have been changed, and to replace then is a $160 kit. The $43 part will not fit pre03.
2. In Canada, the sensor is covered by extended warranty.
3. The price you quote is exactly what my dealer charges.

EXACTLY! :) It's replaced at NO COST to the owner regardless if your warranty is up or not. Had mine replaced a couple months ago WELL over 60,000kms.

The warranty is extended for an extra 40,000 kms, or 2 years. Not beyond that.

My apologies then, please ignore the thread.

On top of the regular warranty? So in total, until when is it extended?
Disable the EGR with a custom chip....I think that takes care of the check engine for those sensors also :)

Disable EGR and you are breaking the law on emissions and won't pass drive clean.

The warranty is an extension: two extra years or 40,000 extra kms, whichever comes first.

Never knew that, thanks as I was told that it's always replaced but makes sense they would put a limit on it. Sorry about that.....
