remote wire loose in the cd player harness? at the amp? check all your other connections..
are you getting power to the amp? or is it the power that cuts out?
check your power wire..
check your ground..
check your fuses..
try all those things...

yeh,,maybe your amps are overheating...
05-30-2005, 12:38 PM
also wires touching. Like the outputs to the subs. would disable the amps as a protection to prevent dmg. stupid crap like that.
05-30-2005, 03:47 PM
Either you're putting them into heatsink protection (overheating them), you have a positive and negative touching somewhere, or you're just for some reason not supplying them with enough power (very unlikely)

I think it's there overheating...because when the car os off for a while when I turn it back on everything works...give it 10 minutes and it's starts again.
05-30-2005, 11:33 PM
Sounds like overheating...
are they mounted upside down?

No, there mounted in a angle. How could a fix the heating problem? Put little fans?

That's one way.
They shouldn't be overheating at all though.
Unless there is something wrong. My amp is mounted upside down, gains wide open. Never overheated once.

Im running 4g wires...could that be the problem? I didn't put my capacitor on yet so maybe there to much power going to the amps.

Yeah. I would look into regulating the power going to the amps.
I would PM Microbunny or Malby on this one.

I seriously doubt it has anything to do with the thickness of the wire. the thicker the better in this case.
What are your gains like. ( 10% 50% 100% whatever)
What is the resistance of the speakers that youre powering
what type of amp(s)
is there anything around the amps obstructing air flow.
Check your battery voltage. alot of amps will shut off if your voltage is below the required. Usually they'll shut down below 11.5 volts.

Could it be my battery that's not giving enough power? My batt died a couple of weeks ago..it got dry! So, could my battery still be not strong enought to power my amps?

How were your amps running BEFORE your battery crapped out?

ya I know! Should I get a dry cell? <_<
05-31-2005, 03:08 AM
Drycells are nice. but you will be putting alot more stress on your alternator if you get one. Thats why i just stuck with a Optima redtop
