What type of paint can be used to paint springs?

Please tell me it comes in a spray can?

What about that plastic coating stuff? You see it in hardware stores, it is a liquid plastic and you can dip the handles of tools and stuff in it. When it dries it is a flexible plastic coating for grip/insulation. Would that work?

You can use Duplicolor engine enamel paint.
That is flexible enough? I guess I was expecting the answer to be more complex.

check the duplicolor site.... I think this is what they recommend. I used tremclad rust paint before and it worked.
