Same as you David. I'm #1885 out of a production run of 4788 and 1 of the 513 silver/red cars. Svt is pretty quick got my build cert. within a week ;).

Hey

Any word from Ford about updating your clutch with a better one, mine only has 11000km, but i rather if there is a change get it done sooner than later, as well i think there is a tsb from ford, its on the SVTOA site/

i am currently trying to get it done, but it doesn't make the noise all the time. the service technician took my car home and couldn't duplicate the problem. he said he was going to call ford and try them for advice. i even should the technician the tsb.

Keep me posted, my clutch is fine (knocking on wood) but if they are willing to update it to avoid problems I am there. Any other recalls or problems with the SVT I should look out for, I have almost 3 years left the car was bought new in late 04 and on the vehicle work history I recieved from the Ford dealer the only work done on the car was a new battery at 3km (not 3000). :o

had the whole intake manifold changed, pcm reprogrammed, wiper switch relay, horn relocated, head unit replaced. i think they improved these parts for the '04, you should check out the pcm reprogram, ford has one for the '04 that's different than the '02.

Thanks for the help and sorry about changing the topic of the post. As soon as i found out my production number I will post it.

My clutch is fine at 42K. So far I've had my in-dash cd changer replaced (cd's jammed), intake runner clamps replaced (rough idle) and horn replaced & relocated (horn was barely audible while driving). I've also had my rear bumper re-alligned and repainted (rubbed slightly when closing the hatch) and a rear quarter glass window replaced (shattered for no apparent reason :unsure: ). If you're in the GTA I'd recommend Discovery Ford for service, they're svt cert. and have treated me well ;).

ooh .... 1 of 120 2003 sonic blue/blue zx5 :P

also... dont get me started on the clutch issue.... I brought my car into dixie ford on Aug 23 ordered the clutch the wrong part came in after 20 days. They re-ordered the correct part, and it didnt even come in before i put my car away for winter on oct 31

SVTOA.com has a stick for all TSB's related to the SVT Focus if needed. (Including the clutch issue.)
