I need Everyones help with this I am looking into somethings and basically i want to know every bolt on part available for the focus and its advantages so list them here and then post waht they do or how they are good.....this will be a good list for any new comers too

I know of

Pullies
65 mm throttle body
Intake
exhaust
header
hi flow flex pipe
adj. cam

anything else u can list that is worth adding please do
:D
The 2 major things that give you hp on the zetec engine are "header" ie exaust manifold .. and cams.

Everything else is just minor hp here and there.
2000 intake manifold! That is good for a few ponies.
whats the difference between 2000 intake manifold and 2003?

I dunno man.. i think the udps are better then a shorty header..
The 2000 intake manifold will give you about 10-15 hp. About the equivalent to a new header. Both good bangs for the buck.

Now you could get really stupid, like me, and bolt on a new head, shaved that is, with cams and all---------------well it's kind of bolt on.

Ummm no you ain't getting 10-15 HP with a 2000 manifold, it's maybe 3 HP if that MAX.... where did you get that info?
Are you guys talking about a factory North American 2000 Intake manifold like the one that came on my 2000 ZX3?
I think the genrally accepted number for the 2000 intake manifold is 7HP on an already modified NA car.

That is more like it and when you say already modified NA car, your talking with EVERY NA part basically to get 7HP..... no way in hell your getting 10-15 just from the 2000 intake manifold.....
pullies and throttle body will make you car more reponsive.
woo hoo!! another 7hp from my 2000 intake manifold on my modded NA 2000 ZX3 that I did not know about.
uh... that is already factored in on the 2000... just means your engine is less efficent somewhere else.

On the 2001's and up, it helps....
It helps .. but you wont get 10-15hp .. or even 7 hp from it... Not even 7 crank hp...

Nope.

Its a nice mod, but like I said, anything other then cams and exaust manifold gains are all fairly small.
i'm making 146.1 WHP @6300rpm and 140.1 WTQ @4400rpm

my mods are the follows just for your reference:
-AEM short ram
-ported TB
-early 2000 ported intake manifold
-crower stageII cams older version
-kent cam gears
-OBX 4-2-1 race header
-bosal flex pipe
-universial standard (non-high flow) cat after flex pipe
-borla catback
-af/x udp
-SCT chip with EGR disabled

dan told me that i should be able to achieve 150 WHP if i take off the cat, but well i don't want that much noise since the car is loud already.

i basically have all the bolt-ons that makes power..... i think.. please remind me if there's more :)
christ thats alot of mods and money to be pulling 146.... then again, im new to foci and wouldnt really know but it seems almost more worth it to go with a turbo or scupercharger rather than spending almost the same.

and arent you totally illegal now with your egr disabled and a 4-2-1 race header ?

emissions wise yes.
sound levels, probably.

but don't be fooled, all his mods still don't equal say the cost of a vortech.
Did you take off the egr pipes yet yelo?

You should do that.
The first half of the 2000s had better intake manifolds. The runners are a lot smoother looking that the second half of the 2000s. Thus this gave several horses to the wheels gain.

Vito :P
I can be corrected but the early 2000 intake manifold is the sort of mod you only do if the engine is already out of the car for some other reason. To do it by itself with the engine in place is practically impossible? The exhaust side is hard enough I can't imagine what the other side is like.
