I saw the focus tuning .com car at the Canadian Tire on Appleby in Burlington on Saturday.

Anyone know who's car that is? It's hella sweet.

I think the license plates said "smokinzx3" or something like that.

I was almost positive this car was an american car.
sounds like meford4u

The licence says FASTRNUR----------------Faster than you are.

Aaron works at Canadian Tire on Appelby as a Apprentice.

And now with the addition of a racing head that i just bought today, had it shaved .040, and this ported intake--which i don't need and will soon be going up for sale---package deal I bought-- the car really will be FASTER THAN YOU ARE!!!!

you're going to put a racing head on a boosted car? or are you selling the JRSC?
nope, the racing head is going on the boosted car. From what we have looked into, everything should be just fine.

You have anything to add that might make me look silly? Seriously.

I'm not sure about raising the compression ratio on a boosted car. It's typically regarded as a bad thing.. but of course, I'm not sure about with the JRSC, since it's pretty mild boost.

I just haven't read up on this particular setup, so I'm probably the one missing something...

But you mentioned you were going to build up the bottom end as well, and that's an extra margin of safety as well. I dunno... as long as you're careful, you should be fine. it would be mighty sweet tho with that kind of power :D
You hit the nail on the head with the JRSC being a mild boost. Typically stock it is in the 5-6 lbs of boost range, and with the shaved racing head it will increase to 9 lbs, so still very safe. The guy I bought the head from said he was changing out his setup from this head to a turbo with 18lbs+ of boost, and there was no way the engine would take that with a racing head. He Dyno'd his car at 230 whp without the JRSC.

Hey Dan, you have anything to add to this. I know that you have researched the JRSC alot more than I have.

hey meford, you will be happy to know i decided to keep my car!!!

i ended up having a buyer, and the deal was pretty much done, but then i decided i couldn't part with my baby!

Hey I see that Focus all the time. I always shop at that canadian tire too. Its a pretty sweet ride.
Glad to hear your keeping your car. Now if you need parts---hollar.

We are always changing something. The car gets more attention than the wife.
