Got this done for you guys, just worked on it.
Changed my mind with the all go, no show. Just for now we are putting the mod's for the motor on hold. First off we need to say a story. Ford Produced three main concepts for the escort. One came True, which is my car the SR. There are two others. The zx2-ner. Also the Fusion. I will post pics now.

That is the Ford ZX2ner. It never made it to production, it included Bodywork massages include unique fascias, fender flares, rocker panels, a rear wing and fog lamps. Inside, the car gets loads of Ford Racing goodies, like sport seats, a custom gauge cluster and racing tachometer, along with a custom steering wheel cover and a special shift knob and boot for the five-speed manual transmission. It also provided a new suspension upgrade. (shocks, strucks, engine mounts.) This version also provided a new intake and exhuast. Also cam gearing, with the same mod's as the SR.

Alright, 1999 Ford and Roush joined forces for one last time. The first time was in 1999 when they produced parts for the SR, the limited productions of 100, then in 2000, Ford went with Iceman for their intake production.
This time they had something truly different. The Ford ZX2 Fusion is an atomic reaction. Ford Designers and Roush Racing joined forces to produce a true performance car that is economical to own and operate.
Using Stock 4cyl engine, and the VCT (variable camshaft timing) 16v DOHC.
-The factory pistons and rods were replaced with aftermarket performance parts
-SVO cylinder head was added with 2-milimeter larger intake valves for improved flow
-The engine breathes easier thanks to a Roush low restriction, high flow air filter and a stainless steel exhaust header with Arvin stainless steel muffler and exhaust tip
-The big boost, though, comes from the addition of an Eaton supercharger with a water-to-air intercooler
-Roush accessory drive pulleys are also part of the package
-a larger Griffin radiator replaces the factory unit
-Roush windage tray in the oil pan
THIS BRINGS THE NEW SPECS TO??? an output up to 230 horsepower and 200 foot-pounds of torque.WOW!
NEXT
-To make the most of the additional power, the driveline was upgraded to equal length half shafts
- Fusion’s front brakes were updated with 13-inch Brembo drilled rotors and four piston aluminum calipers
-Suspension-
-The ride height was lowered 1-1/2 inches with stiffer Roush springs.
-Roush X-Sport struts by Bilstein control wheel action
-Goodyear 215/40R17 F1 performance radials mounted on 17- by 7-inch Prime "Tuner" alloy wheels.
-EXTERIOR-Body modifications include a new chin spoiler, distinctive rocker treatment and unique rear valance by Inform Design. A Roush spoiler graces the rear deck, and the body is finished with a yellow-on-black paint treatment befitting the Fusion’s youthful sport compact car target market.
-INTERIOR-
-Up front, you’ll find a pair of deeply bolstered FloFit bucket seats.
-There is a custom "shorty" shifter for quick gear changes.
-Roush Racing pedals and supercharger boost gauge complete the racy interior feel.
-STEREO-
-Fusion features a Stillwater Designs audio upgrade with Kicker amplifiers, speakers and subwoofers.

I remember watching the price is right one day and saw what was announced as a ZX2 that looked just like that first pic w/out the racing stripes and whatnot. You sure it never made it to production?
Unfortunatly. Yes however, they did have a 2003 zx2 which basically looked the same, with minimal differances.

Probably what it was then.

yep, the newer style bumpers were a little more "aggressive" i think.. I liked em.. do they fit perfectly? just swap one for the other?
That is correct. They do it's a perfect fit. Can't get one it, but im going to keep trying. Ill get the 03 bumper in soon, with sideskirts, and a rear bumper also im planning on doing fender flares oh my would that be amazing. SO NICE!
Yep i'd love to see that! Nothing too special for americans but around here, would be pretty different and awesome looking!

Let me know of updates, would love to see that (maybe my buddy would be interested in same for his S/R ;) )
Yes, well im at the first step right now. Also i will be putting pics on everytime I work on it. Now first what im looking for is my 03 bumper. The rest will not be hard, i made some calls and nothing. It's going to be a long process of alot of filling and molding. It's really going to turn out great, i just need to take alot of money to do this. I have to do it slowly because of the money issue, I really want to do this and get this done.
No offense ElementSR but IMO zx2's look like ass. It's just a goofy looking escort to me. Your SR sure has the go right out of the box, I would focus on body mods. It doesn't look bad bro, i'm not dissing ya just think you should get some sort of kit to get rid of that hideous front bumper. That ner is how it SHOULD look. The decals are kinda stupid but i love the fender flairs and the kit. The front reminds me of the mustang almost. Does the '03 you're talking about look similar to the ner?

Go for that man. Seriously that would be one phat zx2. The more i look at those pics the more i'm coming around to the possibilities of your car.

Keep us up to date.

Hemi, My respsonse to you is that I personaly like the front bumper but I have different taste. Actaully the front bumper is quite ugly, and that is the first to go. That is why im getting rid of it. I personaly like it, but i dont like it that much. I am actually looking at doing anything to get out of that bumper look. Now the 03 bumper looks like the zx2ner. Exactly it is a 03 bumper and that is what im going to use on the SR. To box it out just a little bit then the flares will really make it agressive. My dad is going to help on this. Yeah i need the 03 bumper to start this project.

Im excited about this, I will keep pics of every step. Anyone wants to come out and help please do please do.

##ALSO## If anyone has anyother idea's or pics of cool things. That would be really sweet to tell me.
1 Tint back window's i know. I know im planning to do that with my OT.
