i dont plan on blacking them out fully, just a nice light tint to a darker red

my buddy has a 05 hatch focus thats black and he fully blacked out his tails and you can barely tell he has taillights on lol let alone brake lights when he brakes

Tint, IS just wrong.

hes not on any focus forums. he recently picked the car up (few months ago) ive tried getting him to join but he keeps forgetting lol

tinting tails is just ghetto IMO

If you gotta go with tinted tails check out laminex as there stuff is legit and not to dark if you spray can it your asking for trouble.

Definitely looks good man.

i was thinking of the lamin-x instead of nightshades, not a fan of the flat black look the spray gives..even with clearcoat its still not super glossy

You need to buff it out to get a gloss finish with Niteshade. Go over to FF and search BardWhite (I think thats the guy) because his NiteShade applications are flawless.

i had my zx3 tails blacked out with night shade and you could see them ok. i drove for the better part of 3years with no issues.


but don't worry the new focus wont be getting night shaded.

i have nights***ted tails for almost 7 years now, i did a very light even coat a lot of people say "what did you do to your tail lights? they look really good"

So the key word is TOO MUCH NIGHT s*** = no good, BUT ENOUGH nights*** and they look really good, my reverse light stuck out like a sore thumb, but with a light coat of night s***, they blended very nicely and have nearly the same smoked tail look that you can find on the factory tinted tails that come from the factory on some mk4 Veedubs such as my buddy who is a DJ.

i <3 nightshade

i can see my tails perfect at night, and they are DARK

people who bash it only do it because they are unexperienced with it. its like telling a turbo guy that turbos suck because they use more gas.

never had a problem, nor when i get pulled over and its night time do cops say they cant see my tails. 7 coats of night shade, 10 coats of clear, wet sand a polish. done

beats the hell outta altezzas and stock look so STFU douchlickers LOL
