Hey, i was just wondering if someone could tell me how to correctly quote or refrence a post. with all the time information.

you hit the little quote button up in the upper-right hand side of the post you want to quote

or use the bb code { quote=<name>, time, etc etc} <quoted text> {/quote}, replacing the braces with square brackets.
