which one is niteshaded?
03-27-2009, 01:33 AM
looks like the top one is sorta body colour. I would say night shade but also do something with the fog light surrounds

Niteshade FTW!

Nite Shade for sure. Body colour doesn't suit the car at all.

First of all - awesome job Anthony - thanks bunches for doing this and thanks to all those that voted.
I must honestly say I was this close to going body colour - but I may be changing my mind here.
I already bought new foglight bezels in black - which I was going to leave black if niteshading the grill ... or paint body colour if painting the grill body colour.
Does this change anyone's opinion ... niteshaded grill with black foglight bezel?
Man ... this just reminds me how much I like black cars and why - mono black ftw.

i vote nightshade i think body colour would look kinda wierd blue it'l match the black surrounds you got....gotta break up the colour sumhow
03-27-2009, 04:37 AM
here it is with the bezel done....
03-27-2009, 04:47 AM
^^That looks sharp, night shade on the bezels makes it come together nice.
03-27-2009, 04:56 AM
that looks way better
03-27-2009, 06:00 AM
Yeah, upper and lower grills, Fog light bezels, and side markers. That would make it look amazing.
03-27-2009, 06:43 AM
Now with side marker.

Hey Ken, if you want a ginnea pig I'd be up for trying the nightshade on my grill surround first. I was trying to decide if I wanted to paint it black, or match my body colour but the nightshade idea is sounding mighty tempting.

The Fusion "sport" model has a grille that looks somewhat "nightshaded" have you seen it?
Hit up the Ford parts counter ....they will price it out for you...

Yes - and done that ... see my earlier post - the SAP grill is almost $200 USD more at cost than the chrome one - more than 3x the cost.
I refuse on a matter of principle alone to pay it - never mind the waste of fundage.

LOL Adam ... I admire the fact that you're posting here ... I figure if I keep it off anything that's clear plastic I'll stay out of meford's dog house.
Having said that ... I must admit I'm leaning back towards the monochromatic body colour look - or maybe the old fart's right and I should leave it alone.
I dunno ... LOL - I work with million dollar budgets all the time and have never had a decision crisis like this one ... at least the outcome of whatever I decide has no real bearing on anything important.

That's what I'm talking about. Sweet!

I'd say nightshade it all (grill, fog surrounds) and then get either the clear or smoke sidemarkers. Your car's colours doesn't lend itself as well to a full body colour look IMO.

FWIW, I'd leave it stock.

Body colour and do the fogs too.
