Maybe DP(site owner) can change your nick now that your car isn't for sale Smile I'm personally really happy I'll be able to see my baby live on, although changed still its nice to see, you cannot fathom how many hours I spent on that car. I'm willing to help out with any problems the best I can should you need it. Also make sure you always run the copper AZFS22C plugs gapped at .035 to .040, this is key. Allot of people buy these cars and put in some NGK platinums or some junk, and then very very bad things tend to happen.

Well i'm glad you are here and aren't trying to scam a sale of a well known (well to us anyways) boosted focus!!

I've seen this car go from stock to shock, so it's nice to see it back home on FC.net!! And hopefully you'll bring it back and enjoy it as much as Hardk0re did!!

well thank you, I really do appreciate it guys, I was hoping for the help more than a beat down. I dont drive the car just yet...it stays at the dealership. Im a salesmen for SUMMIT ford. If anyone every needs parts, let me know, Were an SVT dealer, we have everything you can imagine for a focus from 2000 to current. I guess Kevin will keep me informed about the meet and maybe we can meet up and ill follow him down there or whatever. you'll get to see the car again, babied and all. Im picking up the downloadable tuner for the car tmrw. morning. So that'll be good to have. You guys can screw with it for me. Im adding a set 08 SVT cobra heat extractors to the hood for cooloing, as well as new rims, 17" flat black hypermesh rims with the red line. youll see it soon. keep me posted everyone, and thanks again
What all have you done with it since you bought it? The last owner seemed to want it for a daily driver to save his SVT Lightning, as i was there when he picked it up from Kevin. And what do you have in store for it?
2.3 swap and turbo. The excess of parts and inventory are crazy when you have a dealership at your disposal. For now, i want to do ford gt style stripes down the side that say cosworth. the heat extractors are in place off the shelby, the rims I have to get tires for, hopefully before the meet. the wing someone can have for like 20 bucks. tint the tails and go with blacked out housing....stock style headlights. the inside of the headlight is painted black. so ill sell these or trade for a set. im running the 2500k yellow bulbs, and really just work on the 2.3. We have one out of a mazda at the dealership. the 6 speed tranny i bought from a scrap SVT in oakville. Guys belt went and wiped the valves out of the head because they were hung open. I bought the six speed for 300 bucks. On the garage floor at home. then i dunno, any thoughts. RS rims would be sick and flare the sides.
Oh and as for the previous owner, he was going to use it as a daily for his GF that left him so he says, so he ditched the car. I picked it up. Sick lightning though, I have to go to his place again tmrw. for my programmer he forgot to give me. Im more performance than flash and kits, audio, etc. so working on a 2.3 and adding a turbo into it a year down the road from now would be badass. Not to mention the built 2.3's with turbos sound deep and crazy sounding. WRX'ish, just like the RS in the UK. Oh and working for ford we get updates about the euro fords. Does everyone know the RS program to be brought here as been scrapped and that ford in 2012, is thinking of completely scrapping the SVT program. It doesnt sell anymore, and isnt marketed enough. So they plan on toasting it!
WOW that's quite a project.... it'll be the first 2.3 with 6 speed i've ever heard of

if you want to the sell 5speed tranny let me know

those headlights are one of the best you can buy for the focous.... they are Hella and made for HIDs

the wing is a personal taste thing..... and is all that's left from the car that showed it was a limited edition S2
The SVT program doesn't sell as a brand because they don't market it in the first place anymore, thanks to Ford's cost cutting.

Remember the heyday of the SVT program? They had vehicles in every segment that went fast and looked good doing it. The more vehicles they dropped from the program that they didn't replace, the smaller the audience for the product left standing, until it's basically little more than a footnote in a Mustang brochure now Sad

Oh and an overpriced testosterone laden truck that most normal mortals need a stepladder to get into.

I mean hell, a Fusion SVT would have sold like gangbusters, at least if my car is any indication Big Grin

ya man. the only info i can get from ford, being updated constantly, the new 2011 explorer is getting the ecoboost. the SVT program talked about the fusion trying to remake the old svt contour kinda thing....i owned one for a year sick car! The shelby program ends next year, and SVT built the raptor which i drive at work all the time, were the number raptor dealer in canada, but SVT announced that the remaining shelby 5.4 4v supercharged engines will be put into the explorer sport trak adrenalin!! all wheel drive 550 hp all alum. v8 6 speed auto.....that program was ditched because SVT may be closing down indefinatly. its sad but ford doesnt have the cofindence in their performance programs. Oh and I phoned my boss early evening...Ill have a new 2011 focus to bring to a meet, if you'll want to see it! It'll be first one you guys see.

Good to get some of the inside scoop from you guys. It will be sad to see the Shelby program end.. I still can't afford one (just yet)...
Okay if they're simply shoving the remaindered Shelby engines into the Sport Trac that's kinda sad

Though what's probably sadder is that I wouldn't object to buying a useless monster truck like that :lol:

Though it would probably retail up here for something stupid like $50K CDN

ya mach 1 lips are easy to get, the SVT program for the sport trak would have been hilarious but the pirce was estimated to 59 999 plus freight air and taxes. so it was scrapped, I have the entire adesa auto auction data base at my disposal. Dealerships are linked direct to look at stock, if i find a white zx3 ill post up, ill need a deposit of a 1000 bucks to go to the auction and get it.
Wow this thread really tunred around. Welcome to the site, So I guess the focus isn't for sale and you'll be kicking around for awhile. I picked up my SVT rear bumper from Summit a few years back they had it qucik and for the best price around town.
YA i know lmao, thanks for the welcome, the add was suppose to be for selling the rims and tires, he went with selling the car because he thought it would be that amount. Ive never used kijiji or really shopped it, so he posted up, and I beat the piss out of him! so, no..... i want the car, im getting new rims and that for it, flat black euro style with the red line. ya summits been around for 43 years, were a full service SVT dealer, with a complete toy store in our case, our parts department to others, full of svt parts for all models. ford doesnt make the bumpers and that any more, so pricing is up, but its an awsome dealership. so if anyone needs anything, let me know.Ill see you at the next meet, look forward to meeting you all.

also, its one big effin project to put a 2.3l in that car, not to mention matching it to a getrag tranny...

you would be better off buying a topspeed turbo kit on the zetec, not only would you save a ton of hassle, wiring and fabricating, but would be done hell of a lot sooner. my suggestion would be to sign up on focaljet and read a bit, get a better understanding of what works in what because going from zetec to duratec is a big swap out due to completely different everything.
ya, waste of time. i mentioned i had the tranny and an avalible engine. prolly not the best. i should just build the 2.0 and go from there. my biggest dream is to go over to the UK and import a new RS right hand drive or the ultimate........the 4x4 escort cosworth........MAZING!!!!! anyway just day dreaming here at summit.
agreed with jamie a 2.3L swap in itself would be a mission, but i don't think you could get the 6spd getrag to work with it, and if you did chances are the costs associated with it would be the cost of probably a new car.

as for the RS, if you have about 50K to drop you can go to mexico and get one.

surprisingly there are cossie escorts kicking around ontario and im sure for the right price they would be sold.

but ya like i said before, build the 2.0l, turbo the snot out of it and it will be just as potent as the duratec. seen many high HP zetecs floating around in the 400+ whp range
ya thats nuts...the UK RS is like low 40's canadian, plus to ship is like 8000... Ive never heard of the cossie being here in canada, but what do i know. Mexico would have them painted black with a machine gun mounted to the roof and spray painted $%#@ america on the side of it. So thats a no go....just a dream. Lmao today at the dealership I got put in charge of developing a car for the show room, done up...the new hatch fiesta. So we have ordered the shelby track pack stripes, dual 4 inch stripes, and the side stripes are going to read fiesta ST. the vinyl will be flat black, its going on the lime green fiesta 5 door hatch that'll be manual. were lowering the car and adding center exhaust srt 8 jeep style exhaust, and doing the factory avalible 3D carbon kit for it. Then there going to let me take it to a meet, for all to see. 950 km's on a 40 doller tank! were also getting ST badges, like real proper badges from the UK to add underneith the fiesta badge on the rear.They look like the RS badges just saying ST
