Left-hand drive? WTH?
Sweet ride tho, and I love the rally 1st gen as well.
The 430, not so much. Unless it comes with its own mechanic.
what do you have planned for the suby?

JDM '05 6-speed, Brembos, R180 differ, Spiider DCCD controller, staying 5x100 bolt pattern. (He's supplying these parts and install)
While he's at it, he's changing my alternator (my regulator gave out in it), putting in 2 stiffer engine mounts and stiff tranny mount, short shifter. These small parts I'm supplying.
That's it for now. I'm doing this because my clutch started to slip in 4th and 5th, so I was like WTH let's upgrade. It's just a matter of time till the tranny gives out to be honest.
The turbo set up is really close to be done. All the parts are almost here. But I'm probably gonna wait till spring to put it all in and tune. Don't really wanna go on the dyno with snow tire/rims.
You're clutch slipping yet?
yeah, it slips a little in 4th and 5th on the street if I start rolling on the throttle at 2Krpm. At the track, if my shifts land above 3600rpm, clutch doesnt slip at all. I plan on changing to a stage 2 clutch next year and going to see what this 5 speed is capable of. Personally i think they have a bad rap due to the 02-03 trannies. My tuner runs his 05 tranny with a 20G turbo, close to 400 trq all day long without any issues. And he isnt nice to the car at all, car has over 160k on it too!
Yeah my clutch does the same thing. If it's over 3000RPM then it's fine but below it's sucks.
These 5 speeds from '06-'07 years are pretty durable. Sure beats the glass 2002-2003 trannys
But then these 5 speeds can not do this (well they can but would brake after 7th try):

There's something about AWD car when you drop your clutch at 5500 RPM and don't have to worry about things.
yeah 6 speeds cant do that all day long either
Like I said, my tuner runs the 5 speed, isnt nice to it (1/4 mile racing, lapping, amateur rallys, etc), he also has launch control through his subaru software.
Anyways, we'll see next year I guess. I'm going to hit the strip to see what she has in her. I will report back.
^^^Better be at least 12.9@105mph!
I'm just comparing my buddy's stock '07 STi (longer gears in that year) 13.1@101mph
My tuner says she has a 12 second run in her for sure. But thats with perfect driving me thinks. Theres an TBE STI + Tune running a 12.7 @ 106, and he feels my car is faster.
I need practice with 1/4 racing, havent been since I had my t-focus
Are you going before the snow falls down?
no, snows are already on.

you need to post information about this as it becomes available. I'm totally down for this. I'm assuming it cost 1-200$ for the day?

I will do so sir. It's a lot more fun then your regular parking lot.

Oh really...
It should be done on Tuesday or Wednesday but since I'm out at the job site I will probably only pick it up on Sunday.
dude, does planet motorsport works on focus for general public? I need a coil over and clutch done. I live in guelph now, and a trip to authority in waterloo is just a little hassle.

I'm sure that they do. He did work on that rally Focus. Iain is great with cars.
Give him a call. This weekend he's gonna be at Tall Pines, they are running their rally Impreza there.
Back to Bancroft eh? I might drag the hatch down there to check it out.
