I've known you for years and just now for the first time realized what a wide mean streak you have ... LOL - guess we'll just have to come out and see for ourselves ... are you going to Dave and Busters?

Planning on it yeah, by then I'll have the summer rims on so only thing that would stop me at this point would be a freak snowstorm
Gave my car the first good going over myself. Two hours later and I realize that I'm going to have to get the poor thing into a pro's hands, if for no other reason than to get the salt out of the carpets

Well I'll be recording the whole event and I will make a better end result video for everyone. I won't use Windows Movie Maker lol.
Anyway seems like we didn't come up with a place yet...
So let get on the ball peeps.
Dakota R/T.com is doing a weekend event and their dyno day is at Maximum Performance in Scarborough.
Since they're R/Ts... I can only assume that Max Performance's dyno is AWD.
lets just stay with da silva guys, 50$ for 3 pulls is as good as you will get, not only that but it is the same one we used last year so people can actually compare numbers from one year to the next on the same dyno and hopefully similar weather conditions.
Any AWD dyno will be more expensive aswell.
we don't get 3 pulls at dasilva, we get 2.
Also, Dakota R/T are getting 2 pulls, printed graphs and air/fuel readings, for 50$ a truck.
So, if AWD dyno's are more expensive than it would seem that this one has more 'value'
yes but how many members they have going and do they have an in with the company too.
We had gotten printed graphs and airfuel from what I remember.
Like Jamie said I'd like to do DaSilva again because we know what we ran last time and that way the numbers won't be out too bad.
When pat ran us he rated our cars at 3500lbs IIRC
we got print outs for our runs and we could have gotten 3 runs, but realistically we dont need 3 runs. sorry to say but most people on here have sub 130whp cars and the power wont vary more then 1 hp run to run as opposed to higher power cars or boosted cars that can vary 10whp from a slight temperature change between runs. my second pull made me 7whp more just due to engine getting nice and warm
TBH,
last year's dyno day was a lot of fun but I was lucky that I only had to drive 20-30 minutes out to get there. I wouldn't drive out the 4-5 hours it'll take me from Ottawa to do it again this year unless things are different enough to make it worth driving 4 hours to get 2 pulls, when I could just do it up here instead.
Yes, it's fun to see your guys cars on the rollers but 40 minutes of fun isn't worth what'll end up being a weekend trip for me.
so 60 minutes and having 3 runs would be?
sorry to say luke, but no matter how you slice it, if thats how you see it then it will be a waste either way. it about the event and the community more then the time it takes to do some pulls. we should reserve somewhere for a lunch and do a photoshoot or something good

I was just saying - I arrived at DaSilvas and 40 minutes later I was driving off. Hardly worth 8 hours of round trip driving.
And yes, it's about the community so let's do something as one. After all, we're calling it Dyno Day not Dyno Hour right?
I agree with Mystake, living in hamilton i have that same drive. i would love to participate but hardly find it worth it. im sure there are closer shops for everyone. Even in the GTA area is much nicer than a road-trip. The photo shoot incorporation is a great idea also but i think it might be spoiled if we have to drive half a day just to get to and from the destination.
Im sure we can compromise somewhere that is easy for everyone. I was sad to miss the final cruise last year and meet some new focus owners. This year im going to make my best efforts to make it to meets as much as i can
well unfortunately we have a lot of members from all over the place, not to mention not a lot of shops who have any relation to ford products in the slightest. i can understand that it is a pain driving for a dyno day however last year there were no issues with this.
for those who would like to participate in a dyno day, copy the list below and add your name in a post. also put beside your name where you would like to dyno (give a shop name)

Jamie thanks for starting a list. Sorry Mystake but the Dyno Day will be at DaSilva. If you want to host a dyno day by all means go for it but pls don't put down my event. Last year was rushed, as for this year I will attempt to put a cruize and photo shoot together if there is enough interest.
I was just googling around and came up with some food and photo shoot spots. Just for thought...
Also I was looking around for a cruise but there really isn't any cool roads and the only thing I saw was a 50minute trip to Lake Scugog...
I'd be happy with the Dyno Day, Food and some pictures.

lets keep this going guys
Is there a decided date? I am interested but I need to book time off and put aside funds and such.
