Well it has been over a year since my licence plate lights blew out and I finally got around to replacing them. I had popped them both out earlier this week and I couldn't believe the amount of blue electircal oxidation that had built up in the lenses. When I removed them the wires were broken at the spade terminals. It was a total mess.
I picked up the pair of replacement lights from a new member that works at Evans Ford in Etobicoke. I got a pretty good deal on them as well. I would suggest his services to anyone who can't wait for Ken to go to the US and pick up parts.
After completing this task and going out to admire my work tonight in the dark all I can say is Wow! It looks as if I have a set of landing lights in my hatch trim. I haven't taken pictures as it wouldn't do this repair any justice. But for those that need to do this job it is easier than you think and worth every second.
