PURPLE!!
PUPLE WITH SILVER!!! haha
I must say it turned out killer. Now to give a couple more coats of clear tomorrow, paint the front rad/headlight mount thingie...then throw everything back together
I'm finally making progress on this build! key word it fiunally
another thing I just noticed is I should probably paint where the fender sits to match either silver or purple...get rid of the black haha
Thats going to pop in the sun big time.
id paint the fender rails aswell
theyre getting painted too in the near future. gotta prep them first. clean them up. this car has dirt build up everywhere! its brutal.
so turns out the stanley ratchets cannot handle very much torque...managed to snap two tips in this build lol. luckily the lifetime warranty means i keep getting new ones for free
any recommendations on a decent ratchet though? I've gone through so many 5/8's ratchets in this build its ridiculous...lol
and more purple paint!
I painted my rad support finally (a bitch and a half to clean and sand) and brake booster to blend into the firewall. I was originally going to keep it black...but i like the purple. so why not paint it all lol.
Also, our neighbor at work is a fabricator so I got him to make me up a passenger seat bracket, cost me a 12pack of MGD lol can't complain about that deal! and as you can see it turned out killer! he did a great job. just have to get some sliders now. and some 4pt harnesses. im thinking corbeau...possibly sparco or momo. very undecided.
I forgot something! haha
Thanks to Drunkinmonkey I got me a nice pair of halo projectors again. the last pair only lasted me a couple days before i totalled my silver focus. So here's a sneak peak of the paint combo!
Don't mind the mess in the background of that last pic, thats due to a terror named max, haha our 3 month old pup.

Well played good sir. well played lol.
Thats not a mess lol you should see the one my jack russell can make.
that looks #$#$%$^$ing amazing.
small update. got a whole slew of new bolts for the focus, it's not a huge mod or anything but it sure gives a nice clean look. here's the passenger side motor mount holder thingie. The motor mount is being made apparently (warehouse ran out).
I also managed to finally get my sub frame off, there the culprit of one pain in the ass job! haha grinded the head of to get the subframe off, then grinded it down to a hex shape and hammered an 11mm on then end...luckily that was enough to not strip any further and cracker her loose! now to find some new subframe bolts to put the new subframe back on.
and in other news....
here's a crazy large burger I ate over the long weekend haha
^^ thats two grilled cheese sandwhiches as buns, 2 massive patties, cheese, bbq sauce, sausage, onion rings and probably more haha talk about a challenge to eat..and yes...I did eat it all, including the side haha. I truly am a fat kid at heart.
again, more new bolts! this time all subframe bolts... definitely needed new bolts haha
haha wow mine wernt even remotly that bad. but i also had 2 years of leaking oil splashing all over them keeping them nice and lubed up..came out like butter
now the rear subframe on the other hand im extremly worried. might start spraying them with heavy duty penetrating oil for the next few weeks lol
how much all the new bolts cost you? i might need to get home. did you get from ford?
got them straight from ford, they were only $3.45 each. not bad at all. Yeah my rear subframe is just aweful, not looking forward to working on that one next haha.
Got the car back on all 4's finally! we're heading down the main stretch now till its done! (...thank god haha) Hacked up my front bumper for the sake of i was bored and its much lighter than that beast I made last summer haha.
i see alot of extra wiring on the ground haha
i also see some cut coils
haha yeah got some wiring to do yet haha. its not as bad as it looks. Just need to tape/loom it all and extend a couple wires then throw it all together.
And yeah I cut my back springs to drop it a bit for now. My suspensions f**ked as it is so i have to replace it in the near future so im testing out "cutting" my springs. my current suspension set up is as follows:
fronts: KYB AGX adjustable shocks (thanks to GFXJamie) with eibach sportline springs cut 6" off currently...
backs: SVT shocks with APEX springs cut...i lost count...like 2 coils ish haha
