So ill be getting my SVT 5 spokes hopefully fixed soon and i was thinking of putting on a wider tire. The stock size is 215/45R17 and I was wondering if a 225/45R17, 225/40R17 or even 225/35R17 will fit on the 17x7 inch rim?

The 225/45 should fit to my knowledge. And if those fit the others will. You might rub a bit if your wheels are cranked all the way. Do you have a drop? What is the offet of those rims?

Plus 1 sizing would be 225/40R-17 I believe.

I was afraid of that. The only tires Tire Rack lists in that size are Hoosier A6/R6 drag tires @ $245 each lol
I was thinkin of maybe 215/40R17. I Know its not wider but it will sit better then the 45 series

I had teh 40 series on my 17's and they fit great on a 7" rim, nice and flush but the speedo was off by 5km above normal speed.
