picked up this 02 svt this morning needs a bit of work to be "freshened up" but its a decent winter project.

Very nice! What is the plan for her?

undecided i may gut it and cage it and turn it into a lapping day car or use it as a winter DD and sell my wagon

is that the one that he wanted 1500?

it was posted in bolton for 1500 sunday afternoon i picked up up monday at 7am for much less

needed a timing belt so i set the timing and tossed on the old belt from my car and bam she lives and runs and pulls great

And no its not the one from barrie

you beat me to it, how is the rubber on the SVT rims?

and its about damn time i beat you to one of them. since the last 2 you got before me.

the snows on the 16" wheels are is say 95%
the rubber on the svts are 90% all day long.
car came with 4 issues of focus fanatics the svt certificate and the original window sticker of 30,700 prior to taxes
this is a 1 owner car and has 170km on the clock.

170k seems to be when the factory timing belts let go! all of the svt's have been around there... I'm at 161k, thankfully the belt has been changed

Damn good find i must say. What kinda problems does she have besides needing a timing belt?

ya i did all the timing bs on my white svt at the 150k mark so im good with mine

its runs so it just needs the timing belt / tensioners replaced and my order has already been placed with tousley ford.
there is a small spot of rust on the hood surface only but i know a painter so thats nothing, there is no head unit and the dome light is missing i know its insane work but i think i can manage.

the 16" wheels with snows WILL be replaced

but i did manage to come across and get this cheapo from the states

oh i forgot the head lights are extremely foggy. thats pretty much everything thats wrong with it.

Fix up the " Big " problems and turn a profit.

ya he does side work. he will do all the body work and prep work in his 40x40 garage and then takes the car to his work to spray it. pm me with details and pictures or ideas and il forward it to him and such to figure stuff out.

and ya its pretty clean needs very little love to be good to go and that is the cross roads where i am at rite now.
its either gut it cage it and boost it or clean it up and flip her at a very reasonable price for a quick sale make some coin

You have all winter to figure it out. Not a good time to sell a car anyway.

picked up a new heart and trans for the wagon the interesting thing is how i got it home
