Well I guess we knew the day was coming.

Shortly after cancelling the rear Focus SVT caliper bracket, Ford has now cancelled the Focus SVT front caliper and caliper bracket, and based on what we saw with the cancellation of the rear bracket, Ford Racing has or will soon cancel the two Focus SVT front brake kits ... specifically M-2300-SVTF4 and 5.

I've initiated inquiries about whether or not FRPP still has inventory of these kits, as well as two other suppliers.

The question for us here is ... does anyone want one if we can get them.

If the answer to that question is "no" ... then I guess the question about inventory is moot.

In any event, here are the prices assuming we can get the kits:

M-2300-SVTF4 (for 00-04) ....................... 550 CAD + HST

M-2300-SVTF5 (for 05-11) ....................... 350 CAD + HST

MEMO: if we get enough interest we could qualify for free shipping within the lower 48, which would reduce the base price of SVTF4 by $40, and SVTF5 by $30. That would be in the neighbourhood of 4 or 5 kits.

What about ordering the brackets alone, like that when the times is right someone would be able to just order the rest?

Trying to replicate these kits is financially not viable - especially for 00-04 models. What Ford Racing sells for a few hundred dollars costs 1,500 to 1,600 if parts are bought separately from a Ford dealer - even Tousley - these kits are crazy value.

As for just buying brackets, Ford only sells them with a caliper - which is the part they've recently cancelled.

So the best compromise IMO is to find used ... and if you can find a used SVT front caliper bracket, then you should take the whole brake setup.
So what would a Bembro or Willwood kit cost then if ford is pulling the rug out from underneath us...?

^^ check it out, even these kits require SVT spindles tho..
Great post Mikey, but for that $600 you only really get a relocation kit instead of a conversion kit. Though I do like the front kit with the 4 piston action going on. I'd say you'd be able to do a Endo with the track setup lol.

Anyway SORRY to thread steal Ken, if I did..., but I don't think I'm in for this GB.

No problem John - it's a good discussion.

In any event, I already have 2 of these kits (one on my car and one spare kit) ... so I'm basically set for the foreseeable future.

I just remember how disappointed a few people on here were when we missed out on the last of the rear kits - so I thought I'd post this up sooner than later.

M-2300-SVTF4 (for 00-04) ....................... 550 CAD + HST, is that the whole rear conversion kit? calipers and bracket and whatnot?? or whats all included?
