Depends what you wanna do...

All out power and less comfort mod a merkur. For comfort and luxury, get the st. Ton's of features and very well thought out on everything in the car.

Get the new ST. They're a much better car than anything else around that isn't an Audi, Porsche or the other two German manufacturers. And, yes, if the ST is anything like the normal Focus Mk.3 a very comfortable vehicle to drive around in.

I would get ST
OMG is that old school.....AND PAINFUL. Now the sleds have 8-12 inches of clearance for a smmother ride and tonnes of power for the lakes. I have my sled over 100 mph on the lake.

Turbo sled would be bad ass. I grew up on an old reliable 377 safari and john deere trail fire

I highly doubt it ken... were so busy right now and about to have our second nephew/ or first niece within the week... and were gonna be building a new house in spring and are working on severing land from her parents and starting to clear... this years going by wayyy to quick!!! still need to meet up with your sister to grab my rotors and pads 8-|
And I definitely do wanna get the new ST, it's trying to convince the wife to let me get a $34, 000 FOCUS lol
She's much more enthusiastic about ne spending the 3, 000 on the merkur lol
What kind of sled you got me4ford??? We make turbo down pipes for most of the new sleds (with and without cans)... give The Garage a call for the best price on them!

I have a Acrtic Cat 2009 1100 turbo and a 2005 Arctic Cat T660 turbo. The 1100 turbo is my sled and is already super fast.

Did you pick those up down south?
How much did 1100cc turbo run ya? Sounds like a fun toy.

No, I bought locally. Not enough of a savings to warrant buying in the US. The 1100 was just over $9 with tax. And fun? Not really.Big Grin
Why would you buy a sled? Cant go wrong with a quad, i can use mine all year.you can only use a sled if it snows.

I have both.
Wicked car dude, I have nothing but respect for people that can actually buy such a cool car. Now, if only they decided to make that same car in a wagon...

You mean like this one? Silly kids - ST wagons are not for North Americans!

I wanted a wagon, but ofcourse no estate is destined for our shores thanks again ford.

Would have been the most useful focus since 2007
Well, speaking of wagons, I have tried to show my wife at least one that is a 7-seater, and has all the toys. That would be a 2007-2009 Cadillac SRX V8, 7-seater with the sport package one it. 32valve Northstar, good for over 300hp and 300 ft lbs, all day, leathers, memory seats, Ellipsoid low and high beams, etc etc. Can get these now for under 19 grand, loaded to the 9's with decent mileage on them.

Other alternatives for us include some 7-seater SUV's, all of which would have to to have the requisite larger/more potent drive train (FUEL ECONOMY BE DAMNED! LOL!).

Those SRX's are really nice cross-overs.
Dude, your driveway looks badass!

haha thanks. Normally my Transit Connect would be in there too, and GF's semi modded PT cruiser that she is trying to sell.

I just need to get my gf's friend with the 09 and my sister with her '13 titanium to come over for a picture, then all we would need really is a SVT to complete all the series of foci. I got an SVT... it just isnt a car anymore
Have you put winter tires on the ST yet? The ST comes standard with summer only tires.

The roads were a little frosty this morning and you don't want to look like the guy I saw this morning limping back home in his Corollla. The car looked like it had been rolled ... the back window was busted out, the roof was buckled, there was damage around all four corners, scrapes all over and his front tire was flapping around like a F1 car. I guess the guy was too embarassed to call for a tow truck or explain it to the police.
In process of getting tires. I have other vehicles I can drive in the event that it gets colder or snowy in the meantime. So far the factory tires have been very grippy at the 0 mark, long as we are on dry surface
Foci are so hard to spin lol , i went all last winter without snow tires anr never came close to sliding or spinning and i have my tc disabled.
