Your going Signals then, I'm the same thing but I'm in the Reserves out of Borden, Ont. Most of your training will be done in Kingston. One of the best trades.

12 years to get in? Why so long?
Well i originally applied in Sudbury , then moved to Nova Scotia. However the recruiting center in halifax kinda jerked me around and they also messed up the digital paperwork. But more so , they red flaged a medical issue that wasn't an issue. Anyway after about 5 or 6 years i gave up for 2-3 years , i didn't want to deal with the shear amount of stupidity. Then i moved to Ottawa , and re applied here , and 6 months later i am in. Amazing when you have people that actually know what they are doing .

As a CIV who works with DND, I spend most of my time waiting...
I was a CIV who worked with DND, until one of the students in my truck hot-miked my air-field radio while I was swearing and talking politics. LOL. Actually finished my contract without hearing anything about it. But when I went to apply for another job, my security clearance failed.
What pissed me off was after 10 years of working contracts, they finally posted a permanent position but then removed all the qualifications so they could reverse-discriminate.
Have made allot of friends in the military. Going up to Borden this weekend to visit some actually.
Always thought a good T.V. show would be called "PMQ's", and be similar to the Trailer Park Boys.
