Where are you located ... and which LSD (s) are you interested in?
I suppose you are looking for a Torsen or Quaife, Im not sure about Canadian dealers but Im sure Steeda could get you a Torsen as their US counterpart sells them..Ford Racing website also has Torsens for sale. Or check the Quaife website
i don know about places in your area but in saskatoon i went to a local performance shop(performance plus) and they said it would be ~850$ so i got one from mike on focus fanatics it was 511 usd + 30 to ship. its the torsen t2 btw
oh and btw there are no lsd(limited slip differentials) for the focus they are atb (auto torque biasing)
looking at the Torsen (ford Racing) yes its easy to get them from any website Im looking for anyones personel experience with purchasing through a ford dealer I contacted Mike from Hilbish Ford (spelling) just waiting for a reply he is supposed to have the best pricing
Im located in Northern BC

too bad your located in BC. I'd swap you my trans for yours plus cash. I don't have a spare MTX-75 else I would have sold it a while ago.

Just as a matter of reference, and because a lot of people don't take into account everything that goes into importing parts, that 850 Canadian might be the better deal if lintlars could get it for that much.

Even assuming you could get it shipped to Northern BC for 30 bucks US (I seriously doubt it) ... here's how that 511 adds up:

511 + 30 USD = 541 USD
541 USD x 1.3 exchange = 703 CAD (Credit card companies always ding you on the forex)
UPS border fee = 53 CAD
PST / GST (BC 15%) = 105 CAD

Total = 703 + 53 + 105 = 861 CAD

lintlars - I might be able to save you some cash on shipping and importation charges ... send me a PM once you've decided on who in the US you want to buy from - if you decide to go that route.

Good luck and cheers.

The MasterCard I have (Citi Enrich - I get a 1.25% rebate on all purchases) not only charges a premium exchange rate, they also charge a fee on top of that -- so the effective rate is 4 or 5 point higher than the published rates.

My TD VISA also charges a higher rate than the bank, but they don't charge a fee.
ya since ive been buying a lot from the US for the focus, they have been hitting me pretty good on the exchange rate on my TD visa. so watch out for that, mite cost you more then you think
that seems strange i charge to my rbc visa and i didnt have any other fees

Ive got a low interest BMO mastercard, but previous to that I had a low interest Scotia visa and they never hit me with fees.
