Okay so I am getting to the end of the life for my Pirelli's and I am wondering what everyone is running on.
It would be nice to have a little bit of economy, yet long life and of course a touch of performance.
Coopers were suggested, Michelin's, not too sure about the Hankook or Kumho tons out there, as far as budget trying to stick with under $130 per tire.

I have heard good reviews on Cooper tires, Instint tires are another that are affordable and great reviews. I am buying new tires in the next few weeks, I will post up what tires and price.
How did you like the pirellis ?
They handled everything and anything I threw at them, and that was quite a bit, probably the other reason I won't get the km rating distance for that model
I have a 2007 ZX5 SES and replaced the Pirellis with some General Tire G-MAX AS-03 tires last spring. Bought them on sale at Canadian Tire for $120 reg $163. They are on sale right now at CanTire for $123 (205/50/16). They seem to be better in the wet than the Pirellis (imo). Can't say how they handle winter as I run Nokian Hakkas in the snow.

Just finished this winter season, at least I hope it's over with the near slicks I have and the P's worked fine, as long as the roads were mostly plowed - however our street is hardly ever plowed so it was a good test and have to say not bad being they are just all seasons. If they weren't like 300-400 per tire, I would go back to them.
i had khumo ecsta but thats not an all season tire lol. very soft though, only got 2 summers out of them. but man did they grip. i forgot what i have now lol
If you run them all year (snow and all), take a seriously long look and the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Very good all round tire, and can handle snow too.

I run the Yokohama Avid Envigor on both of my cars, which is in the same category, but a directional tire.

I run dedicated snow tires on both cars, so I went for the Yokohama. I actually had the Continentals on order, but changed my mind.

Keep in mind that there are about 8 different models of Ecsta.
I ran the AST (all season) and was good for the first season, but not a huge fan the second year. That's when I switched to the Yokohamas above. If I was to go back to Kuhmo, I'd either go SPT or ASX.

lol thats true my bad. i had the SPT..had 3 punctures in one tire in 1 week and the thing still held up..but i war a little worried driving around on 1 tire with 3 plugs in it and it was time for new tires anyway so i got different ones. great tire though i loved them. i needed a fast replacement so i got a cheaper tire (dont remeber the brand) and they are pretty sticky. next tires i think are going to be s.drives
