I had some more time today to tinker around with the engine. I'm pushing to seal it and have it ready for the turbo kit on the weekend.

I found my new 2.3L Oil dipstick and tube and placed it in the location to see how it would fit. I personally love the way it sits but it is completely different from the 2.0L.
The 2.3L sticks way out in front of the Intake Manifold and the 2.0L goes up through the runners of the intake manifold. Look at the pictures to see how it sits...

So, on Saturday I, Joey and Jamie will be heading down to Wobb's to pick up some Focus parts including my FSwerks Stg 2 Turbo Kit.
Here is the last bit of the owing money for him lol
[Image: IMG_20140326_201007_zps90c903b3.jpg]

So I decided to seal up the front cover. I pulled the pin on the tensioner and queued the music and got to work lol (Top Gear Reference)

Replaced the old Front Cover seal

Laid the silicone to her and bolted it up.

That's it for now again.
love the green motor! haha and so excited youre going to wobbs...my turbo kit is also included in that!! Smile cant wait bud lol
Your not using a ford dip stick tube are you? If so it will not fit the Cossie. The Cossie tube is meant for the 2.3 thus why we had to trim our handles due to fitting a longer tube in that space

Thanks Kev. Glad to see you are still poking around!! How is the family and will you make any meets this year?
So I drove down to Pittsburgh, PA to pick up some parts on this past weekend.
So I got my turbo kit, Ohhh yaa!!!

I traded my stock Euro Lights for some LED Tail Lights
[Image: IMG_20140330_121235_zpscaf0163c.jpg]

I started to mount accessories to the block so I started with the turbo and then the pulleys.

Then I decided to stop and start back on the suspension part of the car. I sold my old KYB's to another member and needed to pull the springs out. Here is the difference to the size of Sportlines to KSport
[Image: IMG_20140401_130950_zps550f6419.jpg]
The Rear Sub frame bolts were a pain in the ass to remove. I only removed 2 from the coil spring pockets so far. Had to put on an extension to the ratchet wrench.

Then I started to take that dam tranny out. But I ran into some issues. The driver side axle wouldn't release from the tranny. So I decided to take the axle nuts off and remove it that way. Had to use my big gun
[Image: IMG_20140401_161112_zps1609e7e2.jpg]

But, that wasn't so easy. I then had to use a puller to attempt to separate the axle from the hub. I left it for tomorrow so this is where I'm at so far.

what happened to the other turbo you had?

and I cant believe you traded euro tails lol
Lol ya I'm sorry I traded them. I always loved the LED lights more. Just a little more lol.

And the other turbo I sold to my coworker for his single cam setup.

This kit came up so I just grabbed it. It's power Rangers good and Randy won't fight me on it for tuning either. But... I will run this this year and if I feel like I want more then I'll drop it off at a friends shop and tell them to make it bigger lol.

Also, I just got the tranny out earlier today. I'd say at this point I'm half way being done... Let's hope the days go by slower until June.
but there euro tails john!!!!!! you could bought them then sold the euros and made profit
Lol I know. They didn't go far. Joey has them in his SVT. So if I ever wanted them back I'm sure I could probably work it out lol.
So the last few days I have banged out the axles and remove the tranny.
Yesterday I decided to work on it for a good portion of the day before the Massiv Dinner.

I started on the rear end. I hooked up the air gun and started removing bolts. All came out easy except for on bolt on the Toe Arms on each side... So I left it for now until I can get the bolts cut and popped out. Maybe Monday I'll have time.

Then I started on the front subframe. I Swapped out the sway bars for my H&R Bar and removed the control arms to install the CFM Tubular ones but I hit a problem with the installation. Missing some pieces...
Anyway I removed the 4 rear bolts and losend the 2 front bolts on the subframe to install the sway bar with ease.
Then I just bolted my Massiv Endlinks lightly.

I started to strip the engine bay even more to get the firewall cleaned off to install my heat shielding.

After I got bored with that I turned back to the engine to install the Water manifold and egr delete plate. But the EGR plate needed spacers but I didn't have any so I bolted the EGR regulator back up for now so the silicone will seal and dry properly.

I had to remove the oil filter neck to thread on the turbo oil feed line. The "T" was hitting the block. I used locktite to seal the threads so there wouldn't be any leaks. I think it's ok to use Locktite for Oil but not for Fuel...

Also the T3 blanket fits lol I'm keeping that!

I installed all of the pulleys and the belt is tight but perfect. It is tight because the spacer I had to use on the alternator. The housing of the alternator is from a V8 and it was hitting the block hard so I just used some grade 5 nuts and it worked perfectly.

I mounted up the Passenger Side motor mount and popped on the engine cover for now.

I am ordering my MFactory Differential as we speak and a couple other items too.
Looks good johnny boy
some nice progress john, what are you putting on the firewall?
Thanks guys.

I bought a heat/fire blanket. It's fiberglass weave with aluminum in it. Nice and shiny and heat resistant too. The old carpet is burnt and then up from wear and tear over the years.

I'm also currently in talks with a guy on FJ to do all my buttons and gauges in LED's. I'm gonna do all white but something special for the gauge cluster
Oh it's getting closer to the ground lol.

The rear end had rubber and is sitting as low as I can go, which isn't all that low with the tires/wheels I choose but it looks soo dam good.

Just this one pic for now...
BTW Happy Easter!!

So, details mon. lol
I had sometime today after a service call for CN. I decided I wanted the rear end of the car on the ground.

I previously had to cut and clean up the mounting areas for the new hardware from Massive. I had to open the gaps on everything because Massive uses metal bushings. Very nice equipment.
I took every bolt and greased it with Amsoil's Synthetic Racing Grease. I will never have to worry about those bolts seizing in the sleeves again.
I love that Purple

So then I took out the Ksports and cleaned up the threads and just mounted them as Joey had them setup for Ken. I figured that was the best setup for me as well.

Also I had installed my Steeda Rear Sway Bar. Dam that thing is almost twice the thickness of the stock one. It's really from ADDCCO Sway Bars. It says right on it... But I am dam sure this thing will never pop a squat in the corners again.

The cup needed to be adjusted big time. I left it at the bottom of the post and dropped the jack. The dam car sat so low I couldn't get the jack out or even pump it up. The fenders even crushed the tires too lol. What a PITA. Got it back up and put the cups 75% of the way up. They still need to be higher for drivability but I will be rolling my fenders far out there too.

Tire in the air before the drop

After the drop. I can't even get my finger in there. And don't start saying I have chubby fingers lol
[Image: IMG_20140420_132919_zps91ec5236.jpg]

It is just sitting perfectly the way I want it too.

I went back to the motor and bolted on the DP to the turbo. I had new bolts before so I just used those with some locktite.

This is a 3" DP from FSwerks but it was made for a 2.5" exhaust hook up. Not the nicest work but I will fix that shortly
[Image: IMG_20140420_143007_zpsb4e8ac3c.jpg]

I was able to fit my T3 turbo blanket from PTP. It is a little big but it always the wastegate room to function and protect everyrthing else from heat. Plus I have some Heat Wrap to go on the DP and the Firewall of the car, so I shouldn't have anything melting on me lol

I bet I am producing some rare pictures with this build. I don't think many people have seen work this detailed with images explaining everything and have the engine out of the car showing the hard to reach areas too. Tell me if I'm wrong lol

This week I will have my control arms and front suspension done. Plus the engine bay will have a shinny paint job and a fresh look to it.

Thanks for reading this far. Stay classy FC.
Nice work. One thing, I don't like how the oil return line snakes like that, is there no way to get it to go as straight as possible? With all that bending around your at risk of a restriction in the oil drain and backing out around the seals of the turbo esp when cold.

What size is that line too? It looks small to me.
^^^ I second that the drain line looks pretty small I think my oil drain is -10 or -12
It's the line that came with the kit. Those are the updated FSwerks lines. I think it's a 6an and I don't care for it either but I think it is done like that to allow clearance from DP and other lines at the firewall of the car...

It worked before so I'll see how it goes.
