Every now and then (maybe once every 2 weeks) since I got my car 6 weeks ago I experience a very brief 'miss' or 'slip' feeling when I'm driving. I did put in some injector cleaner 2 weeks ago so that may take care of it but my mechanic buddy suggests that the plug wires may need changing. He says "Use Ford wires" and I said that that was boring. No colours to choose from or anything. Are there better wires than the stock Ford ones or should I go with what he suggests?
focus doesn't really need any aftermarket super-dupper wires

Turbo Tom was running stock wires on his 11s slocus

i had aftermarket wires (9.3mm blue in color) and it maybe made my idel better
The focussport wires are pretty nice, come in colors and are a upgrade from stock. I would recommend against something like SD wires + coil because its just not needed for the focus.
i doubt turbo tom had stock wires i believe he was running the same coil and wires as i have in the scremion demon coil pack and live wivires

Depends on how you define "better" - if it's strictly a matter of how it looks under the hood, then you can find all kinds of options on ebay.

If you're more interested in long service life and performance, then you'll have to cut through a lot of crap, misinformation and voodoo science ... and here's the best place to start.
NGK's are pretty nice you can get the premiums and they are blue. Other than that It's up to you.
I just swapped out to Autolite wires, and so far, so good. I picked them up at Advance Auto Parts in Ogdensburg, NY for under $30. Larger diameter than the stock ones, and nicer boots too.

Question: Does anybody make performance wires for an SPI?

Ryan
When you say larger diametre, you're referring to the wiring inside, what guage are they vs. stock?

Yep, higher guage wire, which should conduct better.

I'd snag the Magenecors if I were you (and if they are in budget).
