As some of you know, my turbo focus will be undergoing some upgrades for both suspension and braking. Here's what's here and coming in so far:
CFM Front Lower Control Arms
SPC Rear Upper Control Arms
Prothane Bushings
Eibach 22mm/25mm swaybars
Tokico D-Spec Shocks
Front EBC Cross Drilled / Slotted Rotors
Front Hawk HPS Pads
Russel SS Brake Lines
HTPerformance Rear Toe Adjustable Arms
HTPerformance Tubular Front Crossmember Brace
I'm kind of looking at the following as well:
SVT Rear disk upgrade
Rear EBC Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors
Rear Hawk HPS Pads
With the rear upgrades, does it make a significant difference in stopping power? In both street and racing applications?
Coilovers were on my mind, but due to the road conditions up here and my terrible driveway, they are not a feasible option.
I have about 2 weeks before I begin starting work on all the upgrades, will start to send more pics soon.
Awsome list of upgrades there man. Keep us updated on your progress.
Rear disk should be the first thing there with that power your trying to stop. I stop on a dime with them on and glad of it some time. Cause of the weak braking power of the drumbs, it costed me a front end couple years ago. but I did end up with the CF hood lol.
Get the SVT rears.
^^^x2
got the svt rear kit and best thing i ever did stopping is so much better and looks better too
and i dont have pigs squeeling in the rear anymore everytime i hit the brake pedal
+1, i drove a stock zx3 before i bought my SVT and the stopping distance is so much less in the svt. BTW the rear EBC's w/ Hawks are a primo choice, i put them on before i did the fronts and actually noticed the rear felt like it was almost stoping faster then the front
Ah... EBC... :icon_mrgreen:
NefCanuck
HTP cross brace and toe arms are in...
Tokico D-spec shocks should be in next week or the week after.
Soooo can't wait for friday!!!! :D

They're HPS, not HP Plus.
Damn it's like a little Christmas over there.. nice dude..
Those suspension upgrades will make the car way more fun to drive!
Hmm what can be in that Ford Racing box.. It's a narrow box.. hmm.

yes I know that you got HP Street
couldn't see the pic at work. If you're gonna stay with boring drag racing then they are more then enough. If lapping then HP Plus

Yeah well, I need something that is going to be good daily driver/occasional track, not the other way around. I didn't want to go with a track pad. From what I understood, the HP Plus pads are similar to the EBC Redstuff pads whereby they are crap cold.
Stuff from HTPerformance came in. Cross Brace and Rear Toe Adjutstable Rods.
Nice, the cross brace is on my list for this spring.
Along with a 24 mm H&R rear sway bar, or maybe Eibach.
You better insure that car for the value that you put in it , not for the blue book value

Yeah I've been thinking bout that. But I'm kinda wondering what's going to happen when I get the car appraised...

Try and see... I'm sure the insurance company won't mind charging you more so you can claim a higher value in case something happens to it (I hope not )
I'll be doing the same Next year. Get it looked at because the time and effort you put into is no where near the amount of money they will give you back if its writen off.
Got the Turbo Focus out for a run yesterday. SOOOO MUCH FUN!
Also, need opinions on good brake fluid. Any suggestions?
