The Value Equation
According to my sources these 26 parts, if bought separately, would cost more than $1,500 USD at a Ford dealer in the US.

I priced a few parts out at a Canadian Ford dealership (see the number in brackets next to part numbers above) and I stopped checking when the total reached more than $1,600.

This kit is available through Ford Racing distributors such as Dixie Ford ... who quoted me 733.10 including taxes – which considering what you get is a really good deal.

With the assistance of my supplier in the US, and using the most cost effective shipping methods available, I can offer this kit for an all-in price including taxes and GTA delivery ... of .

649.00 CAD all-in

Terms:
Delivery within 2 weeks of closing the group buy.

GTA delivery is included (Burlington to Scarborough), or pickup at Massiv Monday Meet.

Shipping in Ontario and Quebec is $30 (it’s a big, heavy box!) and to Vancouver shipping is $49

I will need a non-refundable deposit of 20% to place the order (130), balance due prior to final delivery.

If you want to purchase now and take delivery at a later date, I will purchase and hold your kit for up to 3 months with your deposit.

We need a minimum of 2 kits to make this deal work.

nice..

You mean Ken right.
Yes so sry fixed now lol. I wanted ask too what year would the brakes be for beacause i want to get some stainless brakelines front and rear and just as an example, 2004 SVT rear stainless braided brakelines, or would this be the 05+ ST rear brake kit.. If you understand what I am talking about. Or did I totally confuse you?

I think the ST rear disks and the svt rear disks are the same kit, I could be wrong though. Going from rear discs to drums I really do notice the difference in stopping power and brake feel. I would say it would be money well spent.

You are correct - same kit ... and John, this kit fits any Focus made ... and it uses the same ABS sensor as the drums do, so it doesn't even matter if you have ABS or not.

As to value, I know of a member on here who recently spent more to repair the rear brakes than this kit costs ... I won't mention names but perhaps he will post up ... so if you're looking at spending money to fix your rear brakes in the next little while, this kit makes even more sense.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have no trouble doing my discs ... but I won't even think about doing drums anymore. And the fact that the shoes last as long as they do, despite being really thin, suggests to me that we don't get much braking power from the rear drums. That's why I'm doing this kit.

And Nik ... are you saying you are actually in the market for front SVT brakes ... or are you just whoring up my thread
I was fleeced by the dealership.

I recently replaced my front rotors and pads with an hour of my labour and inexpensive parts thanks to Ken.

I also had what I thought was an innocent tiny brake fluid leak from one of my rear drums. Not having much experience with drum brake repair or a big enough socket to take off that huge nut to see inside the drum, I decided to take it to the dealer to repair.

$1400!!!!! Ouch :o

The wheel cylinder was leaking, fouling the the drum and pads. They ended maching the rotors, replacing the pads, wheel cylinders, wheel bearings, and parking brake cable.

Had I known about about this deal it would have been cheaper to get this rear disk setup than to fix my drums. :(
Tthis will fit a 2000 ZX3 with stock rims?

If they are 15inch rims they will fit without a problem, those were my winter rims size.

^^ What he said ... IIRC the diameter of the rear SVT discs are exactly the same as the standard 00-04 front discs ... which would mean that they would even fit under 14" rims.
Hey Ken, we were talking about 2 or 4 lines on the kit it says
Brake hose - rear........................................(2)..5s4z2282ca
right. But does that just give you the extra to smaller ones and you still have to use your old 2. Just wondering.
Looking now on another focus site they were say that the SVT stock came with a 2 lines on each side for the rear, and the svt conversion kit only has one line. The guys were having probs because they ordered 6 line kits from Russel and the car only need 4 for the conversion kit. We'll wait and see for ourselves.
This is a great deal ppl act on it and save some massive money.

Hi John ... got the info you need but it's a bit complicated ... so bear with me here:

1) The flex lines that come with this kit, are those from the rear discs of the ST ... these flex lines are different than the SVT and different from the drum brake setup.

2) You need to find someone making SS lines for the ST with rear discs ... as neither the SVT nor drum brake flex lines will work on this application.

3) Just to be clear though, these are still SVT brakes which are bigger than the ST rear discs - the only thing they have in common is in fact the flex line. FYI - the SVT rear disc is 11" and the ST rear disc is 10"
Awsome thanx for the update.
i mite be interested.... ill let you know

he's right.

ST = Diameter 9.95"
SVT(rear) = Diameter 11.025"

Well depends on what years, or so I hear. Some are 10.2, others are 10.9 thats what I hear lol.
If i was still buying s*** for my car this would be a 4 sure purchase great price
