so i want to add a start button, i figured im going to just drill a hole in the radio bezel and run the wires from there. that way i still have my 12v outlet. anyway does anyone have any pics of what wires i wire it into for the igition?
thats much better pricing than the GT40 one i saw for like 100+ lol, did you need to buy a relay or something? i keep seeing people who are using the honda s2000 get a relay.
i m using s2000 button w/ relay

LMFAO. Me too.
If I really want to I just use the remote starter (Still have to stick the key in the ignition, but the key seems to go in much smoother then  )

i know a few of you guys have done it....i hope zx3_2nv looks here lol..
its not that complicated but the details on FF aren't that clear. also i need to know if i need a relay or not.
if you get the one from performance pc's you dont need a relay. i have the green one off that site. it was 22 or 23 $$ shipped to my door. pm me here or on focus fanatics if you need any more help.
I've done it... its a simple two wire install... Its the Grey /Black and Red wire in the steering column that you attach your push button to.. I got mine off of Ebay... i paid 25 - 30 bucks for it something like that. i think i have the same one as ZX3_2NV..
Yeah no relay needed.. really simple install i highly recommend you solder the joints though.. well you should solder ALL wires but especially these ones.. Its a cool mod i dont use mine on a day to day basis mainly when a freinds in my car or i'm showing off some were...
oh thats great. so now which wire goes to which terminal on the switch? lol im about to place the order

Shouldn't matter if it's a 2 wire switch. It's simply making a connection, and you release it when the engine starts, same as you would when using the key.
many thanks to faster_than_u for the help, and anthony i dont get the point of that comment....if you tried to be funny you failed, at least for me
no problem man. let me know if you need any more help

I suspect that he was either being sarcastic about where to put the 2 wires on a 2 wire switch.....or.......the mention of using keys to start it
interestingly enough it has 4 pins not 2
Well, you'll only need one 'pole' of it to start the car. Use a multimeter to tell you which poles make the circuit when the button is pushed in.
The switch i have is only two pole.. all it does is it simply bridges the connection between the two wires... But then again it does depend on the switch you get so its best to consult with the instructions included to be 100% sure...
It is an easy hook up.. it took me 15 minutes to do mine and i soldered everything..
