some of those 'vtech' civics are pretty fast.... aren't ppl using k series engines for swaps these days
Taurus...Mmmm, now you brought back memories.
I was a very proud owner of the mother of all sleepers. 1989 Taurus SHO 5 speed.
I LOVED smoking them civics with it.
The poor kids, they just didn't know their cars too well. :D
Naz im pretty sure only me and u and maybe a small population of pple on this site actually know what a K series is and yes one of my race mates put a k20 with a k24 block in an EF (91 hatch) and it runs low 12's with out any mods. even the new civic come K20 and they can run high 14's right from factory

as for catuga click on the link in my sig hopwfully we can have a few focus out for some fun. It will be a great chance to beat up on some stangs
Well, I'm one of the ones who didn't know, so I went looking:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_K_engine
Good technology there for sure, but their cars do little for me.

When they finally mated an autobox to the Taurus SHO I was seriously lusting after that car. Mid size room with the zoom that would make Mustangs quake in fear (assuming that you could hold on and keep it in a straight line when you floored it, the torque steer in those things was brutal, so I read at the time)

to be fair.. i think for every 1 superfast civic with a monster swap there are like 500 stock engine cars with an intake, obnoxious exhaust and stickerz

B18c is pretty quick in N/A form as well.....mostly alot of those civic's rock b16 (SiR) engines
B16 are old school now adays its all about H 2.2 , K's B 18 Damm even one of my close buddys put a 3.2 V6 in his civic coupe So Paulicat come out and beat up on some cars ill be posting the cscs schedual soon
i think those 170hp swaps make the car 'quick' but the OE world has caught up so it isn't as impressive anymore
heh, I didn't intend to make this a honda bashing thread, I respect the technology, I just don't like the cars.
My mods are getting close, should be here middle of next week.
I've got a lot on my plate right now and I want to plan this out as best I can, but my car needs to be drivable almost everyday.
are you missing any parts? injectors, headers, maf? SCT 3?
I'm going to need a maf or mafia and an sct for tuning.
Any suggestions/input?
The kit is coming with 42 lb injectors/fmic and all piping.
Headers would be nice for the right price.
I say call steeda see what they say id bet with Mustang GT Maf with Mafia would be the best choice. and if your running out of injectors i will be having 51 lbs for sale soon

Sounds good, I'll call Steeda up before making any decisions.
Thanks for the advice!
do you know you your tuner will be? use a setup that they are familiar with. ie if you are using flo's tuner use the same maf/injectors/chip combo as him to make your life a bit easier. you don't want to be the guinea pig

I'm going with Steeda because they are relatively well known, and I live fairly close to them.
I'll be discussing the setup with them before doing anything.

Well, the great news is that the Procharger and Saleen suspension kit both showed up yesterday. A BIG thank you to ZXWsquared for his help!
Everything looks to be in proper order. The only catch with the Procharger is I won't be using the charge piping that was included in the kit. It was converted to FMIC and as such, the charge piping was partly "home made" and as such, just looks a little too "home made" for my liking. I got the kit at a steal of a price, and I knew ahead of time I'd be redoing the charge piping anyways, so no surprises. I'll go over that with the guys at steeda and see what they recommend.
The Saleen suspension kit on the other hand is brand new from Saleen so no issues whatsoever with it, it looks like a great kit.
The suspension will be the first order of business so I can get the alignment done.
I know they tune with the MAFia thats why im probablly gonna end up tuning there

Does using the mafia allow me to use my stock maf?
Thats the idea I get when I read the product sheet for the mafia but I'd like someone to confirm for me.
