It's that time of year where summer students are needed at Ford in Oakville.
Now, there are some stipulations to getting a summer job at Ford.
First, you have to be 18 or older. A full time student taking 4 or more courses(they require proof of enrolement) and be able to work legally in Canada.
They gave us 2 applications each. But, I can only give out the full time application(the other is for temp. part time working Friday, Sat. and Monday only, and only available to relatives)
My wife also received an application. I don't know anyone available, so here is your chance to get a prized job for the summer. I think they pay around $20/hour with overtime available.
PM or leave notice here if interested. First come, first serve. And I am not meeting up with anyone to give them the application. You come and get it, you fill it out, you drop it off to me and I put your name in the lottery.
If your not a student.........too bad. Full time applications will be coming soon. But one is spoken for and one will be sold to the highest bidder. And I aint kidding. For a chance to get in full time at Ford and make over $70k a year for being an idiot, that is pure gold.
But the student applications are free.
Let me know when the bidding starts for the Full Time application!
The company i work for currently supplies(well until june anyway) GM Truck Plant, and i'm seriously doubting the longevity of General Motors remaining in Oshawa. We also have operations in Oakville as a subassembly plant for Ford, but for me to get in there i'd have to give up my senoirity and all the benifits it brings.
So let me know as i am very interested!!!
Props to Bryan for posting this up. You rock! :)
I can't believe no one has responded.
You lazy bastards

We all have full time jobs??
and some of us couldn't work at Ford even if we wanted to ;)
(Unless they had a full time position for a greeter a'la Wal-Mart I'd be stuck  )

How did OAC get a job then?

They give us applications with our paycheque. One per customer. Although I do know several people that have no need for their app.

Spelling is not key on an application, so you would be fine.
As for the "need to know" someone.........you better start sucking up now. You have to know someone at Ford that is willing to hand over an application.
so meford, is it too late to apply for a summer job or what?

It's called "Marketable job skill".
"Short" people are ok, just not "short and useless".
Besides, I think I'm still taller than you, because I'm over the line.
