As it says, the 2008 Toronto Indy has been cancelled, due to the merger of IRL and ChampCar. It may be back for 2009

yeah this really sucks.

Toronto was one of my fav. tracks. Hopefully it will come back for 09

Face it, Toronto can't afford to loose 3mil. bc of this.

WOW. And I was going this year. THIS SUCKS.

and the GP of Edmonton date is gonna have to be moved back a week or 2 cuz it conflicts with the mid-ohio date

seems like this deal is to great for the canadian races this year

what kind of furl do indy cars run on cause if its leaded fuel we will never see the indy in ontario again there is a fuel ban going into place in 2009 that bans all leaded fuel

IRL and Champ cars both run ethanol... they're definitely not nascar :P

Oh well no Indy, go to the LeMans in Mosport, Aug. 24 weekend this year.
It's a wicked weekend especially if you camp out for the event.

Nascar doesn't run leaded fuel any more they cut it out a couple of years ago

I don't think its that the couldn't afford too, its that they didn't want to. They have run many years without sponsors .. i think its all a big protest on there part

This whole merger is a big piss off. They cancelled Laguna Seca as well now. At least I'm getting my money back, kind of sucks I booked my holidays at a time I normally would not really do anything. Oh well, at least it's on the May two four weekend.

It will be back in 2009
