i tired sending the virus scan message, but i dont know how to upload the PDF file.
I am getting the same thing. My virus protection is stopping the same script.
Yep. Me too you infected bastard. maybe puppet got it from his new g/f???? :o  :yikes:
List up which Anti-virus software you're all using, this may be a false positive you're getting...

NefCanuck
Norton

I'm getting it too, but only on the title page, not the forum itself.

Isn't she from North Bay? :o
Well, there isn't any script code in the front page (do a view source)... Please list your antivirus software, browser version, and your ISP.

I know Rogers, and a couple others are piloting ad-insertion scripts, and while I doubt that it's the cause, I need to investigate all possibilities.

thanks.
McAfee VirusScan Enterprise Workstation v8.5, patch 3

IE 7, fully patched

Bell BID 4Mbps synchronous fibre

Sparky - he should be so lucky! :D :P
Oh, and could you maybe list the last site you visited before hitting the FC front page... thanks!
Just got it when I came on. Norton detected it and tossed it. I don't know what I'm talking about but just letting everyone know there is still a problem. Last site was mm.net before coming here, pretty sure noone else came from there.
Okay, well, it's started doing this at work for me as well.

Load front page, I get a complaint about an ActiveX control wanting to run but only get an "ok" button, click on that and the page loads normally.

IE6 6.0.2900.2180

XP Pro SP2

Trend Micro Office Scan client

I'll see what happens tonight when I load up at home...

What's a virus?

I own a Mac.

Have fun with those fellas.
this is mighty strange indeed...

There is absolutely no scripting code on the front page or active-x controls that it should be loading. NONE...

There is a possibility that you guys could be running a toolbar or something that's posting a redirect to the trojan script (which is harmless on updated machines), or your ISP/Proxy server could be injecting something into the HTML.

When going to the front page, try doing so with a fresh browser window, no other windows open, and no other sites open before hand... see what happens.

Also watch your status bar or location bar to see if there's a quick redirect being done... I'll see if I can see any referrer stats that point to a redirector... but as it stands, it doesn't appear to be the site itself.

I haven't had a virus or trojan in 10 years... and still don't. Not sure why everyone else is getting warnings.

are you guys clicking on the porn ads that get spammed here before we shut them down? I would recommend against it

That's not a point to brag about, Mr. Hefner.

BTW the message is gone now, so assuming you're also "testpuppet", it looks like you found the problem.
Yeah it disappeared for me earlier today. Not sure if it was anything that Puppet did to get rid of it, but good riddance.
yep its gone now.
