Ontario to repair Highway 115

Peterborough, Ontario - The Ontario government has announced it will repair the southbound lanes of Highway 115 to improve safety and driving conditions. The highway is a major route from Toronto to the Peterborough area, and to cottage country.

"More than 13,500 drivers and cottagers use this section of Highway 115 daily," says Transportation Minister Donna Cansfield. "This highway hasn't had repairs since the late 1980s, and the McGuinty government wants to ensure everyone can travel safely through this area."

A 24-km stretch of Highway 115 will be repaired from Boundary Road to Highway 7A in Kawartha Lakes and the County of Peterborough. During construction, traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction, but all lanes will remain open on the weekend to minimize disruption to cottagers.

I guess there going to put in concrete medians, which will make it harder to look for Foci's on the other side

It's a political stunt. It's a political stunt.

Probably. But, if they do the work and make it safer for the winter, then it's okay with me. That stretch can be a little scary in winter
