For an escort s/r 1999 with 200k on it?
i hae yet to see it in person, but guy is asking 800$???? pics show that a kid went crazy with paint inside, but it has s/r emblems on it and white cluster, its stick, has s/r seats so right now im assuming s/r model lol.
what would you pay??
Until that thing gets a full look over by a mechanic that you trust (including hoist time to check underneath) not a dime, unless you want to run the risk that the car is going to be nothing but a money pit.

Ditto what Nef posted, I'd run the VIN as well, and see if this thing had any reported accidents or liens still on it.
$500 is what i would pay if it had a solid body, the engine ran ok and had a recent etest that passed.
its worth like 300 for scrap so you can't really go too low.
are you going to keep the inside like that?
500-600 should be ok for it as long as it does pass E-test and as others have said passes the inspections.
What do you want to do with the car? Drive it or part it? The value is all in what you want to do with it.
To me, it's a POS.
To tell if it's an S/R, see if it has the Ice Man intake, the Borla exhaust (doesn't look like it) and the B&M short throw shifter. Oh, and the Tokico struts, if you can see them. It's missing the S/R wheels too.
Personally, I'd pay no more than $500 either way, since it's still a 200,000 km ZX2.

^^ What he said ... another easily seen clue would be rear discs ... but it would seem highly unlikely that this is a true S/R - the only S/Rs made in 1999 were yellow and sold only in the US according to wikipedia.
Also ... looks like this car has some damage on the roof along the edge of the windshield - could be more trouble than its worth at any price even if it is an S/R.
