6 of my buddies and I hit up Dunnville Autodrome this past monday to see what our cars could do on the track. Overall it was a great day. I didn't expect the sport suspension to have as much body roll as it did especially because on the street it's not that bad.

The 7 of us lined up at Timmies; Tony's JDM 240SX, Jerry's Honda Civic Type R, My B7 A4, My brother's BMW 325i, Mike's Impreza 2.5RS, Mike's IS300, and Matt's Golf 1.8T.

Holy hell... that's some serious body roll going there.... now I'm really wondering if I shouldn't just go ahead and do the SVT suspension upgrade, cause I really don't feel like doing some plowing around the course... LOL

Favourite car for that track would be the Cooper S. Worst I think would be that Viper. Any chance that's Blakes Viper?

Wow could that IS300 have missed the Apex any more???

On turn in or on turn in over correction your going to induce more body role than normal. If you practice the line around the track even with stock suspension you can get quick times.

My point lots of body roll does not necessarily lead to slow times. Nef I would get a good set of track tires over new suspension any day.

I've always loved how GTIs are "taking a leak" when cornering hard! :rofl:

what does your buddy's ITR push whp?

how much does it cost to enter?

is helmet all you need to run around the track?

what are the rulls on tracks like that?

The Civic Type R hasn't been dynoed but he's guessing probably 170-185 at the wheels.

The day costed $65.

Helmet and properly running car was all you needed.

There was no passing unless you were waived on by the person in front of you.

can we honestly set up a day to go there?

Well, I'm stuck with the tires I have for Dunnville (Nokian WR All Season 2, H speed rated) so I'll probably be waving lots of people by me :P (Unless I happen upon a sick Mustang that's like thrown a rod or something :lol:)

well im down to go, ive never been on an outcross track but in sure it would be fun, even tho my car has stock suspension in still up for going. im down for got to the drag strip to.

how about cayuga on a friday night.

but seriosly, i know puppet has been busy at work and all....so im gonna look into it....
will you cruise down?

will it be a benefit if we make a day like that maybe on the same day as BBQ?

we'll have BBQ, chill out for a bit..look at the cars and off to the course....
thats unless they have something going on during that day at the track....

If you guys go I'll come.

2 requests though.

1) Pass on the straights only.
2) Small groups or split HP groups. ( I hate lapping days that are over sold and too busy on track.)

I've got 3 spare helmets I think.

is that alright if i call dibs on one of them? mine is gonna be leaving with the scooter next week

for what its worth.. might be better to go to a school day instead of lapping session if there are a lot of first timers?
