ok so since the time i installed 2000k intake manifold my focus start acting wierd....i mean like idels under 800rpm a bit and sometime makes me think its gonna die on me...but i guess i have to play with my TB a little bit

but my main problem is....it happed 2 days ago at first but then today i really started to pay attention to it

if im driving faster then 120-130km/h and then drop it from the gear to neutral,my car shuts off....i mean engine engine shuts off, power streering shuts off and im just rolling in the car there....like wtf?.....while im rolling there i can still turn it on but this is like so not good.....must be something with my ECU

oh and 3 days ago or so i had engine check come on and OBD2 read it as 1406 which is this rubber tube that connects to intake manifold
i ordered that tube from Ford and just have to pick it up

but any ideas on why my car shuts off like that?

i'll try to take a video clip
thanks
Well as you played with the intake it would point at a vacume leak. Or the Mass Air Flow Sensor might be starting to cook.

Once you get the new part it will stop odds are.
Sounds like you may have a problem with your idle air control sensor.

IIRC I may have removed it from my early 2000 intake manifold and attached it to the JRSC manifold. When you swapped intakes did you reuse your old one?

BTW, why are you shifting to neutral at highway speeds???
sorry what does IIRC stand for again?

i switched to neutral because i drive on those "back road" highways, with hills and stuff

If I Recall Correctly

I am getting old so my memory is not as good as it used to be. :(
sounds like ur talking about TPS on the throttle body...?
TPS senses throttle position in the TB.

IAC sensor is further down in the manifold. It senses idle air?

If you look at your FC TB closely there are 3 tiny holes on the side that bypass the butterfly valve. This allows air to flow to keep your engine going at idle even when the butterfly is completely closed. If you have the original gasket there are holes to allow this air to pass. Perhaps on the new intake there may be a blockage, or if you changed or made your own gasket there may not be enough air bypassing to reach the IAC sensor.
It still could be a vac leak....

Sounds like the DPFE hose is plugged or disconnected.
im gonna put her on ramps today and see whats up....

DPFE?
next time listen to us when we say to use new gaskets. :P

Dude, if it ain't, don't put it on the rollers.... we aren't gonna push you all the way home if something lets go :P

Honestly, I'd start with your intake. Take it off, slap some new gaskets and see where your at then.

If it started after your intake install...then you should start there. ;)
I agree with Nate. Get the gaskets and relash the bastard to the head. See what happens.
Before you spend 6 hours pulling off the intake again, you can check for vacuum leaks first.

With the engine running spray an isolated stream of brake cleaner at certain areas. If your hear the engine rev up then some of that brake cleaner is being sucked in the leak. The brake cleaner works like you are giving it a little more gas.

Dan, it sucks cuz i already payed for the dyno...

by the way ran OBD readder today again....1506 code.....IAC <_<
get under there and check the IAC connector, worst case its a fairly cheap part at ford and you don't need to re-install the intake mani or remove it.
